   Something a little different.

Might be interesting to see a Glock 20 frame with a Glock 29 slide. Not sure what niche it would fill, but would be interesting.

Opposite of what we need.  The grip is what is hard to conceal, not the barrel.  They needed a 17 slide on a 19 frame.

Once again Glock has come to the rescue with a quality product that is nothing more than a parts swap that they charge more for.  It would seem the current motto for Glock management is, "quality without innovation".  I love my many Glock's but suspect Glock's opinion is their customers are idiots.

This was the runner up to the Sig 320 in the MHS program.  Glock is just releasing the gun they developed.

The new Detonics company made a 1911 like that.  Little Combatmaster frame with a 5" slide on it.  I think they called it the Street Deuce.

Back when the Gen 2 was out some major gun people (magazine writers, police, etc) wanted the Glock to have finger grooves so Glock made their guns with finger grooves (Gen 3). Now the same people want a Glock without finger grooves. I think Glock properly assessed that their customers are idiots who have no clue what they really want.

Well put!  Reminds me of our German Shepard.  All morning he has wanted to go out.  As soon as he is out, he wants in.  When he is in, he want out.  Over and over.  We call it "the wrong side of the door syndrome".  No matter what side  he is on, it is the wrong side.  Sounds so much like finger grooves on a Glock.

Sounds like every woman I've dated.

The one thing with this G19X that I find odd is I don't believe it has the new flared magwell the Gen5's do. I thought this was the only real improvement for the Gen5 and of benefit for military type applications.

I once did something similar, I put a Colt Commander slide on a Colt Officer's Model frame, and then sold the remaining short officer's slide with the full length Commander frame to a friend that wanted that combination for some reason.

The genius carried it in a horizontal shoulder holster tucked under his arm!

Actually, it's out a little early:

I've always liked the Colt Commander style (full frame, short slide) and this just fits the bill as well as my G19 holsters!

I actually went to the store looking for the new Ruger PC 9 carbine and the new Speer Gold Dot 200 grain 10mm but found this sweetheart instead.

Yes, I saw one (pre-sold) in FDE at the LGS earlier today. Nice.

I would be interested in seeing this compared to a Sig P228/9.  Seems like this should be almost exactly the same size, but +2 rounds.
