I built this one early 2006, few things were changed over time.
It has served me very well over the years.
I think the motherboard crashed so I should be able to retrieve my hard drive info.
BIOS not  showing like it is reading.  Haven't played with it much.
I may just order a new preloaded laptop for now.
Most of my software is older too.
I remembered we had this NOOK so I'm working on it and my phone

Well I ordered several new parts, in preparation of the new build!  Looking forward to start this new build project...
I decided to run with the AMD processor as they have served me well over the years past.

Well it is "ALIVE" now to start adding in the old hard drive data and install all the programs... ;D

For those NOT in the know.... there are adapters that will run hard drives ( outside of the computer ) and convert them to usb drives.

Makes it easy to recover data if the drive is still working but not the computer

The_Shadow

I have the adapter units for IDE external and SATA external, but it was far easier to read and transfer files after I was up and running.
My tower has room for many Hard Drives, spent the day transferring and backing up files and other data...

The new Solid State M.2 internal drive is where I am running the Windows 10 Pro 64 OS...very fast too.  I will set other drives as data storage.

I can even set two matched drive as RAID...

Its great to be back up and running but still have many programs to install. ::)

Well at least you are up and on the way. I like Windows 10, but I am looking at Android as a desktop OS, I think it has a lot of potential.
