EAA Witness in 10mm with a 40mm barrel and spring added to it so I can shoot both calibers. Fourth pistol, one carbine, and one Mechtech 10mm CCU. This is my only double stack in pistols, though. The carbine uses Glock double stack mags, but I do not own any Glocks.

What can I say, I like 10mm.

Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Nothing wrong with having a 40S&W barrel. Good for range use/plinking,less expensive factory ammo, easier to reload light loads for.

I have in 10mm two glocks, two EAA's and three 1911's (two are hi capacity).

The Standard full size Witness was my first 10mm purchase, and I think my best.  It is in the holster today, and it stands toe to toe with the G20 for reliability, and exceeds it in handling hot loads.  The only complaint it the Wonder (why the call it a) finish, which I have replaced with a parkerize + cerakote finish.

You won't be unhappy.

Just be careful using the 40 barrel in the 10mm Witness. I have the same setup, when I fired the 40 cal. barrel, the first 5 shots were great, #6, not  so good.  Apparently being the 40 barrel wasn't "fitted" for the witness I had, it jumped a lug. Locked up the gun tighter than a crabs ass, and that is water  tight!! Hammered away at it for awhile with a rubber mallet, couldn't budge the slide forward or backward. So, back to EAA it went. When they received t they asked me which barrel I wanted fitted to  the gun, naturally I wanted the 10mm. 2 weeks later, it was  back at my FFL guys business. I think it cost $50.00 all together, 20 for the return shipping and 30 for their shop charge. I still have the 40 barrel, someday I'll have it fitted.
Best of luck with your new toy!!

Actually, I was surprised when I looked up the serial number and saw this was manufactured in 2002. There is not a single mark on the outside on the frame or slide. No signs of any holster wear or anything similar.

You can probably get away with using the 10mm spring with both barrels as long as your 40 ammo is full power.

nice pistol Ganny. I also got a .40 S&W bbl  and mags. for mine the 10mm  factory recoil springs works great with my .40 S&W loads. my barrel dropped right in and has had many rounds thru it with no problems.
