Major pistol

Saw a post about Major Pistol powder on FB today.
Anyone load this for 10MM? 
How does it compare the the popular 10mm powders?

I have never heard of a powder called major pistol.  Are you sure it wasn't power pistol?


On second thought, after doing some googling, I found a website that calls Lovex D037-01 "Major Pistol".  I am not at all familiar with this stuff.

Yes Major Pistol powder is LOVEX powder and are rebranded as sold by Shooters World. 
We have found that Underwood has been using it in his loadings since the powder shortages.
I matched Underwood's 1300 fps velocity for 180 grain loading of D037-01 @ 13.0 grains which is 1.5 grains over most book loads for AA#7
Lovex D037-01 "Major Pistol" is very similar to AA#7 by weight.

#1 (0.5 grain over highest A#7 book loading)
Rainer 180gr HEX Plated HP
Star Line (new) COAL is 1.2550"
LOVEX D037-01 12.0 grains
From the Glock 20SF Factory barrel Wolff 22lb spring and recoil rod \
Velocity 1128 FPS
Case expansion 0.4320"

#2 (1.0 grain over highest A#7 book loading)

LOVEX D037-01 12.5 grains

NO SMILES!  Primers look pretty good. Based on this test I would say the Underwood load is this powder...

I've had some great results with their Heavy Pistol. I have to find my load data for it and I'll report back.
