Hey guys great sight and have loved reading for hours.

I have a question for y'all.  I just bought a G20 and was shooting this evening at an indoor range. I shot 100 rounds of Sig fmj and some Hornady 180xtp and a few other odds and ends from when I had a 10mm a few years ago.  Question is do you guys get major muzzle flash for the Hornady ammo?   I didn't notice it with any other ammo shot but with the Hornady it was a major fireball that I could see when fired?  Thanks for any help.

Welcome Vmr!

I have never shot the Hornady ammo indoors so it's not quite apple to apple in comparisons.  But I never noticed any muzzle flash with either the 155 gr XTP or the 180 gr XTP.  That is both with a G29 and a G20.

Thank you for the reply sure the indoor lighting had a lot to do with it.

The only fireballs I've noticed from my Glock 29, is with the 180 V-Crowns and it looks like a dragon with Underwood 9x25 Dillon ammo.

I've experienced the same thing with Hornady loaded 180 great XTP. Indoors it produces pretty big flash, much like power pistol handloads.

This is my carry load and I am considering finding a new load because of it.
