Hey folks, any thoughts on your found sweet spot for 180gr XTP using Blue Dot? I'm currently at 10.5gr, which performs well, but was looking for insight from the experts.
Thanks in advance

From information I've gathered here and across the internet, the node for Blue Dot and the 180gr jacketed bullets seems to be 10.4 grs at 1.250 OAL. Looks like you're at the tall end of it although I show a max load of Blue Dot at 10.4 grs. Might want to recheck your loading data and if it's old data, might look for the newer data. Alliant, maker of Blue Dot, has been changing the formulations of the powders. It's not the same as it was 5 years ago. Biggest difference though will be in Unique powder, it's considerably hotter temperature wise to help with fouling issues.

Still loading Blue Dot and xtreme 180 ( heavy plate ) for normal shooting ... 10.4 grs is still the sweet spot for me with a stock G20. Also same with XTP 180

Mind that the drop is +/- .1 so your right in there.   ( hand weight at 10.4 shows no improvement for me )

In my gun, and in several books , 11 grs isn't a problem and the case still doesn't expand to a bad size... normal glock bulge near base ( no smiles ) that resizes with normal use of the resizing die.  ( no need to full push thru resize case )

( BTW, I use the same weight of BD for 200gr xtp heads without over pressure signs for a warmer load than above...work up to this as your gun may be different and is above listed max load , comes out at about just shy of 1200fps )
