Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum. Just got a Glock gen 4 model 20 . One of the reasons I wanted it,  (my first Glock) is the versatility of the conversion barrels. I can't find a 9 x 25 barrel . Lone Wolf does not have one listed. I heard that Bar Sto used to make them. I  reload and am ready to get the die set from Dillon. I already have some new Starline brass. any ideas?

thanks ,

We may have to wait on LWD to make a run of barrels and conversions, they have been pushing the Alpha Wolf line of stuff.  Just keep your eyes open and ears for someone selling off their barrels or hang in there.  BTW write or e-mail LWD, Storm Lake and KKM to see if they can step-up...

I recently emailed KKM. You can order one through them. Send them an email. He said there's a wait time, but I didn't pursue so I don't know how long it was.

Both Barsto and KKM replied and said they would make one. Barsto is quicker , but more expensive. I am ordering a 10 mm from KKM first in the next week or so. The gen 4 factory barrel is better than earlier barrels I have seen,  but still produce a bulge. I am used to that with .40 and have a Redding G-Rx die that I use. And I cast/PC my own bullets.  Are the Barsto barrels worth the extra money?

Bar-Sto does make great barrels, the two I have are for my S&W1006.  Both are Match Grade and one is for 40S&W the other I got from Mike McNett (NOS that he had Bar-Sto do) is 9x25Dillon.
Being Match Grade each had to be hand fitted to the slide and frame and the 9x25 needed a final chamber reaming after the barrel was fitted.

I don't thing the Glock barrel from Bar-Sto will require final reaming.  But you might want to inquire as to fitment if you go that route.  Headspacing is crucial for the 9x25 cartridge.  Too much and cases can crack and or split and be over worked with resizing.

Glad 9x25D has a growing following. Greatest round ever made. I have a g40 w/ 7 inches of pipe from kkm. True Death ray. 90 gr underwood clocking OVER 2100 fps.  :o

Thanks everyone, received my KKM 10 MM barrel and it is a sweetie. i shoot tighter groups and no Glock smile or bulge. Will be ordering my 9 x 25 barrel soon.

Phew. You guys were scaring me. I want this round to continue. I have a 6" LW barrel for my Glock 20L. Would love a 9x25 upper on my AR.

I got my barrel finally,. It is being fitted by a gunsmith I trust. Also bought a coupe of boxes of Underwood 124gr fmj. Can't wait to try it out.

9x25 Dillon rules. My 7" kkm barrel for glock 40 is REDICULOUSLY accurate with insne velocity. Almost 1900 fps and 1000 ft/lb energy with underwood 125 gr rounds. Recoil is MILD! Please, all shooters convert. With arradondo mag extension you have a 100% reliable semi auto with 21 rounds EXCEEDING . 357 mag capabilities. Trust your life to nothing less. I carry this in a pocket holster with deep pocketed jeans or shorts. Carry my .357 snubby in same holster when I need better concealment but looking to go to a g20 or maybe g29 in the future.

"With arradondo mag extension you have a 100% reliable semi auto with 21 rounds.............."

This part I struggle with. Those extensions are NOT 100% reliable. Not even close.  That said - 15 rounds of 9x25? The job will be finished, I should think.

I am glad I am not the only one that has not had that experience.  I don't doubt there may be folks out there who have had a great experience with various and sundry mag extensions, but the only ones that have been rock solid for me are the +2 extensions.  When carrying my Glocks, the 29 mags rock a +2  Pearce that has a nice texture for my pinky, and I carry a couple of 15 round mags with +2 extensions as well, but I don't remember the brand.  They aren't molded and textured like the Pearce ones.

I have a couple of 30 round extensions and they usually work fine, but every now and then they do hang up, usually about half way through the mag.

Haven't had 1 cycling failure yet but only 100 rounds fired so far. Just ordered another arradondo +5 g20 mag extension because I'm confident in the one I have.
