Picking up the SRH tomorrow. While daydreaming about it I was thinking (dreaming?) about an Alaskan version, barrel shortened to the frame. I had one in 44 and sold it in a fit of stupidity but seriously, wouldn't a 10mm Alaskan be fun?

Robert, that's some nice performance. Which range in New Mexico are you referring to, if I may ask?

This is awesome

It's the Ruidoso Gun Club range off hwy 70 near Ruidoso Downs.

Took the SRH to the range this past Thursday and ran 50 rounds of Freedom Munitions 180 grain hollow point. Took about 5 rounds to get on paper at 50 yards with the Burris red dot and the another 10 rounds to find the bullseye. After that if I did my part I could get 3" groups but I think the SRH will do better than that. I was shooting from a rest under the barrel and supporting the grips with both hands. I thought it amazing I could watch my heart beat on the dot so my next outing will have the grips on a bag.

My problem is the red dot covered about 8" of the target so it's just best guess at that point but I believe that the setup is good for minute of hog right now at 50 yards. Now it's time for a review of the Burris instructions regarding dot size.

In my case I'm a believer that practice makes perfect so I'll keep playing with this combo.

I couldn't stand it any more. Just won a GB auction for one.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Hey, I was actually thinking I would get a Ruger GP100, and have it bored out for 10mm, since you can't hardly find the old Ruger Buckeye 10mm/ 38-40 convertibles. Then Ruger started putting to 10mm Super Redhawks out.

Hmmm, I bought mine for about the same on GB, but it came out of Indiana. It arrived yesterday to my FFL guy, I pick it up tonight.

Your going to love it, 100% chamber support. Now you can load it up until the primers pop out  ;D

So true! I run all my 10mm and 40S&W brass through a carbide GRX die before reloading it. Even full power loads fired from my SRH 10mm and my Blackhawk 10mm/40S&W convertible pass through this die with next to no resistance. The same brass and loads fired from my autos, a Ruger SR 1911 10mm and a Sig P220 take a bit more force.
