I contacted John about a week ago he told me HD-006 for the ruger

That isn't real confidence inspiring.  I emailed and asked him before I bought and he suggested the HD-001S for the SR1911 10mm

I will once i get it and fit it will be sometime after the first few weeks of year when i get around to it  need to order a front sight as well

trying to decided if i wanna cerekote the slide also

I am a fan of the black stainless two tone.  I did my Para P16-40/10mm that way a number of years back.

I like the two tone also .. hoping the fixed sight will work and look good would like to use it as a carry gun

What recommendations does this learned group have for a new front sight? Will the MGW sight pusher work on Ruger's Front sight?

I am 68, going on 69. Right now I can focus on the front sight and center it on a fuzzy rear sight. Target is slightly out of focus at 7 and 10 yards but good enough to group under 3 inches. At 25 yards the front sight pretty much hides the target.

I got some nice glossy bright white fingernail polish and painted it white.

Your sight pusher should work fine, as would a brass or delrin punch.
