This is consistent with what I see in my guns.  While visually very, very similar, if you actually start measuring parts, the Elite Match is slightly different than my full size.  This is not just in areas where metal would be removed fitting parts together.  They clearly appear to be made on different equipment.

The Match frame is alternately listed as stainless and as chrome plated.  I believe the latter is accurate for my gun.  The slide is blued carbon steel, and would not stand up well IMHO to daily carry.  If that is your intent for a Match it will need both a melt and a better finish on the slide.

Hmm.....I wonder if this sinks my idea of getting a regular steel Witness in 9mm, then buying Match/Elite slides for the rest of the calibers....

Have you considered the Polymer version of the Witness?

The frame is well made.  Here are my thoughts of what you will want to do at some point.

First, you will want to upgrade the trigger system.  Two ways:  buy parts from EAA and put a nicer trigger in, or, install an over-travel stop in the existing trigger.

Second, if you are going to carry you will want a better finish on the gun at some point.  Sandblast and parkerize would be cheapest, or sandblast, park, gunkote/ceracote a close second.

That is about it.  Those are my two big beefs with the full-size.  If you are handy and willing to tackle those yourself and would enjoy it, then you can probably save a little money with the full size.

The Match would need a melt and re-chrome to be ready for real concealed carry I feel, so the cost of refinishing will balance out the cost of the melt.  It would be cheaper if you do the refinish on the full size yourself.  I don't see the re-chrome part of the melt really being in the reach of the home gunsmith, and while I have taken a file to a frame before, it was with a jig and still freaked me out a little.

So, for a range gun, strip your full size frame, take the trigger to a machine shop and have them drill and tap it for a set screw.  Get a screw at home depot.  Fluff and buff all the surfaces while it is apart.  For 20 bucks you will have a great trigger.

I think you would be fine frame wise with a full-size.

How about the Limited? The finish on that one is different (did I say I want one) and Henning's favorite EAA gun.

Looks like chrome.  I really like the stock.  The limited is a little to "racy" for me.  But, nothing wrong with it if that is your style.

That it is but very pretty!

Wow, there sure are some stunning pictures of fine 10mm's here.

I feel so inadequate!

Here are a couple I tried out.....

This situation is exactly like 1994 and 2009.  Shooters responded emotionally to some threat that did not exist.  Some persons who wanted to appear "in the know" or "connected" used the internet forums to repeat these "sky is falling" rumors over and over until people believed i

Well done of the photos.....especially like the B&W effect.

Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

That Hunter is beautiful.  The cleanness of it reminds me of the RZ-10.

Something a little different, I guess:

My first 10...I'm pretty pleased. I'll have to fabricate a new sight mount for it--this one has to go. But despite the enormity of the EOTech I put on it, I LOVE it. For an old guy with crappy eyes, it's The Answer.

Bongo Boy, There are some who are cutting a pad on the slide where the rear sights are and mounting the optics either directly or on a pad mounted on the milled section.  Not sure if your witness is a canidate for that option.
