Brownells has 8 rd Metalform 10mm mags on sale for $8.75.  These are listed as "blemished"

Based on the photos, they appear to be the same mags that Ruger ships with the SR1911.  If you need some 1911 10mm mags, this is another great deal.

I bought five, they work great in my DE and the Sig Spartan. I really couldn't find any blemishes other than the blank floor plate looks odd.
Youth and exuberance are no match for age and treachery.

Good to know.  I have 10 inbound. Together with the dozen Sig mags I bought a few weeks back I should be set for 1911 mags in 10mm.

tommy.duncan

I bought 3 on Saturday. They were just delivered today.

They were 9.99 plus shipping when I paid for them.

They have no blemish marks. They look perfect!!

Mine look just like the Ruger mags.  I can't see any blemish on them.  This was a solid deal.

And between these and the Sig mags I picked up I should be set.  I think I have 24 mags now.

No sarcasm meant whatsoever, but what do you do with 24 magazines for your 10mm 1911?  Maybe i need to get me some more!

Pre load your mags for a whole range trip.

Or carry enough reloads for a modern day defensive encounter.  >:D Total sarcasm.

Number them with a paint pen first of all.  If I have a malfunction I note which mag it was.  One strike and you are on probabation, which means you get used alot.  Three strikes and your out.

And beyond that, but have lots of mags around.  I have 10-12 mags for my Glocks, four of which are 33 round mags.  I have 60-70 mags for AR's.

Now, I don't expect to get into a gunfight (which is why I don't carry a rifle around).  But, if I do, I don't plan to run out of ammo.

I also have a wife, six kids and a son-in-law.  They have different tastes in guns, but they all have AR's.  70 mags isn't nearly so many when nine people load out.  I have three high-cap 1911 10mm's.  And the 9 mags I have for them don't go so far when all of them are loaded out.

Also, as Clint mentions, mags can and do get broken.  Load up on reliable mags when they are cheap.

I just watched a bunch of these videos and there is lots of really good info and on top of that Clint is wildly entertaining!

I like Clint because he has been there and done that and is able to provide very understandable reasons for his tactics and practices.

Just purchased two 1911 mags, blems for $9.99 at Brownells.  The one review said they worked well in his SR1911, and this thread indicated the same.  I guess you guys and Clint Raw are having an influence on my way of thinking about the number of mags I should have.
