Thursday I put a deposit on a CSP from Elite Warrior Armament and received my serial number. I had a very nice phone conversation with Chuck. Speaking with him I got the impression that he is very serious about this endeavor.  A June-August delivery time is estimated and price will be in line with a nice custom 1911. Given the amount of custom work over and above a custom 1911, I can live with this. The Bren Ten currently on Gun Broker is about  this same price and you have to wonder if it would be a safe shooter. I plan to have a 40SW barrel, and enough spare parts purchased to last a good long time. Likely my 1006 will go up for sale as that was my Bren stand-in.

I have very high hopes this will be everything that **tor promised it would be, but never delivered. At the best I will have a newly made, shootable Bren, at the worst...well I will still be without a shootable Bren but will have given up hope.

Cool, I'm anxiously waiting to see what the finished product is and how long it takes. It would be great to finally have one to purchase after all these years.

I tried the Google to no avail... What's the CSP?

I tried Google as well. I looked up Elite Warrior Armament CSP and could only find some crappy FakeBook postings, but, nothing about what CSP is or what the initials stand for. I couldn't even find a website for Elite Warrior Armament. What gives?
If this thing is going to cost $4,000 - $5,000 (average cost of a good quality custom pistol like a Wilson Combat or NHC), I'd like to know something about what it is and if it actually is based on the Bren 10 design like the Fortis was. Or is this some bait and switch?

CSP stands for Custom Service Pistol, which was the original name before being named Bren Ten.  Trade rights to the name are tied up by other entities so CSP it is. I have high hopes that this will be the shootable Bren pistol I have wanted since the 80's.

It may not hurt to hope but D&D were also very serious about their endeavor. I put deposits down on two & you know how that ended.

I have also put a deposit down on the CSP. Mine should be number 24 according to Chuck. I had a pleasant conversation with him regarding the magazines. He recently posted an update on FaceBook. I'd post a link, but I'm not to good at that.

Cool. I was a little quicker than you with the deposit. I got 20. Going to give it a few more months then will order a Lifeline, and a supply of magazines and kick back and wait.

I am in but haven't put a deposit down as of yet, I am in at #21 according to Chuck's email.
The work he is doing on other firearms has shown to be really outstanding, so this provides much hope and desire for the CSP.

It's STILL going on??? OMG!

First we had the Bren Ten...Smoke and Mirrors... (yes, I drank THAT Kool-Aid)

Then there was the Peregrine Falcon and Phoenix. I have a brochure with a mailing envelope from the company... never saw a gun... my deposit disappeared when they shut their doors...

THEN there was Vltor Industries and The Fortis...and then it became The NEW Bren Ten! And a wholesaler and distributor was announced and they were taking reservations for a purchase...and nothing more than pictures were ever produced... and they stopped posting to their blog... and they stopped taking phone calls...

It's a few years later and now we have Elite Warrior Armament! WOOHOO!

I would love to see the Bren resurrected! And yet, the Bren Curse is the only thing that seems to have any life. The Elite Facebook page is shut down, they have no cyberspace presence whatsoever, and the only pistols anybody has been told about have been pre-production journalist models and R&D testing mules (has anybody REALLY seen these?). Even their "in-house built full custom" Hi Power turned out to only be FAMCO frame and slide kits that Chuck Warner finished.

I will continue to wish upon a falling star that this will be the company that brings the Bren dream to fruition, but reality keeps intruding with this gun. When it comes to this "unicorn", I fear you will be waiting a LOOOONG time.

Uhhh, maybe I'm a little more "hot headed" than y'all, but I live by a good old motto....

"Screw me once, shame on me. Screw me twice I'm gonna shove a pistol barrel up your nose until you UN-screw me...".
;D :))

Good luck...
I'd go knock on his front door.............

Yeah, at 24 months after deposit and 15 months after delivery date, I would want my money back.
