What do I need to know about the Witness Hunter.

I only have the Polymer K100 and Maryland will never allow carry from the looks of things. I love Steel and see a CZ on the horizon if Shot Show doesn't show a new piece.

Very nice looking gun i just wish i could get one with ambi safety and i'd have one

Nothing to it.  Takes about 3 minutes assuming you know how to deal with a roll pin.

If roll pins are new to you, it will take 4 minutes.

First, watch this video up to the 2:20 minute mark. (or just watch from 1:35 to 2:20 since that is the part that matters.)

Steps:

Prep:  Start the roll pin in the right side safety lever

Field strip the gun
Lift the leg of the sear spring from the retention groove in the safety lever pin (1:40)
Remove safety lever
Install new safety lever
Move leg of sear spring back to retention groove of the safety lever pin
Install right side safety lever on shaft
Tap in the roll pin

Thats it.  I removed this from my Match just about a week ago during it's annual deep clean.  Nothing too it.

I finally have my Tanfoglio Hunter 10mm on order. I have a couple of questions.

1. What is the factory #lb recoil spring

2. Do i need to use longslide spirngs or fullsize recoil springs?

3. What is the stock #lb of the hammer spring?

4. do I use any of the hammer springs or does it have to be SA only specific?

Not trying to hijack. Just trying to stay in the spring questions post.

I suggest spending some time with the pistol before installing the ambi-safety.
I only say this because a few people, myself included, choose to upgrade the stock parts- and this safety can be a pain to take off if you choose to upgrade other parts. The tiny roll pin that stakes it together fits very tight.
I like my guns the same way I like my music: METAL

Ive spent enough time with pistols with only right handed safeties. If I have any doubts about installation there is a guy out our club that shoots and works on Tanfos.
