Have any of you harvested a deer with the Underwood 200 grain XTP?  If so, how did it do?

Instead of starting a new thread, I would like to get any experiences with the Hornady 180 grain XTP as well if you have any.

Underwood has switched powders in recent times and some have mentioned that the velocities were dropped slightly.  Not a bad thing for those with chambers that lack some support.

Last I saw they were working with the re-branded LOVEX powder but still met the velocities and pressures were also upper end.
It was observed that they were loaded with Shooter World MAJOR PISTOL being re-branded LOVEX D037-01which is very close to AA#7 by weight and performance.

There are some here who have taken deer with 180gr & 200gr Underwood XTP.

I can't personally attest to the 180gr Underwood XTP on deer but can personally vouch for the 200gr Underwood XTP on 300lbs angry boar.  Worked like a charm from 30 yards in my situation from a Glock 20.  If you put the bullet where it's supposed to go, either will serve you very well on deer sized game in my opinion.

I'll also let you later how 180gr performs as I'm currently sitting over a bear bait with a g40 10mm loaded with Underwood 180gr xtp

How did it go?

Boght some Underwood 200gr XTP as carry loads for my new Delta Elite and was supprised it tweaked my wrist a bit on the first shot. My .45 must have made me lazy against stout ammo.
Best carry ammo ive seen in a while since Silvertips.
I was still able to get back on target fast enough despite the suprise recoil.

I used the 180 xtp load on an elk from my g20. And it nearly decapitated it.

How far away was it?

Not Underwood but my handloads with 200 grain XTP. Made it less than 20 yards from where she was standing. 30 yards shot from my G20 long slide.

Nice Mike, Congrats!  I like the 200 XTP's also and the 200 Gold Dot also...

Haven't shot one yet. Had a bear come in while I was in the stand 3 evening in a row. Didn't shoot, I had bigger bears on the trail cam I was after. Also it was too hot, so I'll wait till it cools down a little. I haven't been out hunting since.

Good, you had a very long silence. Thought you were bear Chow.
