Hi Guys!

Any Ballistic info anyone can share regarding the Colt Defense 10 mm ammo? Much obliged!

Have not had the opportunity for a pull-down documentation as of yet.  They are being loaded for Colt by Mike McNett of Double Tap Ammo.  The specs are listed as;
Manufacturer Number: 380A90CT
Caliber: 10mm Auto
Bullet Type: Jacketed Hollow Point
Bullet Weight: 180 Grains
Muzzle Velocity: 1200 fps
Muzzle Energy: 576 ft./lbs
Reloadble Brass Case
Uses: Self Defense or Personal Protection
20 Rounds per Box

I would like to do a pull-down documentation on them to see what and how much powder Mike is using, many powders can easily make those numbers and they are said to be consistent.

Thank you so much1

Don't buy them! Double Tap has went down hill. I used to like Mike McNett and talk to him regularly, but they now regularly come up 100+ fps shy of advertised numbers. Slowing his business will be the only way to get them to change.

Here, watch this video  https://youtu.be/H_VXhkQkSz4   this is happening to everyone who buy their ammo now.

Forum after forum, test after test. DT comes up short. Once they even slipped Montana Gold bullets in for Gold Dots. Mike McNett used to be a friend of mine, but he won't reply to me about the over rated ammo. I used to buy a lot of DT until I got a chrono. I don't understand why the price went up and speed went down. He also abandoned Glocktalk where got him started. People on the board invested in his business. When the claims became tall tales, he stopped answering. There is a whole topic about it there. I'll stick with Underwood or BB. I went to factory Gold Dots in all my Pistols after the Montana Gold
Substitute. Now with the 10mm and 9x25, the boutique ammo is all I have except for Critical Duty.

No offense to you Intercooler

110% Ditto!

Doubletap will never earn a single cent from me again and hasn't for a number of years already.  For 10mm ammo specifically I'm not the biggest fan of Buffalo Bore either because they have swapped different bullets over time without saying anything about it but at least their velocities are in the ballpark of what they claim.  Now I stick with Underwood along with whatever I load myself.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Same Here Underwood Ammo for high performance factory ammo :) nothing else comes close!!
