8.2 grains of Longshot, 200 XTP...

Not so good.

1,261 fps...64 fps more than the stock barrel with the same load.

ES 37, SD 15

I think I'm done fiddling around with powders.

AA #9 is gonna be my 10mm powder with 200 grain bullets.

And Power Pistol for everything else (plinking and practice), likely some Unique too, since I have a couple pounds.

I'll burn the Longshot up in some 12 guage hunting loads.... I'm just not liking it much in 10mm.

#18
Also, I don't see the point in pushing the limits any further with AA #9.... My only goal with this is a good powerful load that won't have me flinching because I'm wondering when it will Kaboom on me, lol... After all, speed is fine, but accuracy is final.

I'm just gonna roll on with the 12.6 grains of #9.

Load development done.

Next up, sighting in.

Install my new KKM 7 in. Barrel this morning wow what a difference in accuracy 165 gold dots show real prommise with AA9  this g40 really needs a better trigger. Now time to find a holster since it looks like a shooter now

I have a 9" Lone Wolf barrel :o  I'm just waiting to find the right deal on the Glock 40...could save some $$ by putting into a 20, but I do like the aesthetics of that 6" slide!

Quite a few rounds through the 7" KKM now...still no malfunctions of any kind....runs like a top and accurate as can be.

Ridgerunner where did you get that holster?

SHOOT1SAM

Would I?  I did!  And I added a couple of extra inches just to be on the safe side  ;D  For some reason, I keep thinking that if it stays like this for more than 4 hours...I'll need to see a gunsmith!

The 1st pic is the 1st 3 shots before I sighted the DeltaPoint-Pro in; the 2nd one is the 1st 3 shots out of the stock 6" barrel:  I was surprised at the difference in Points-of-Impact.

I put mine on today. I got the same results the groups shrunk right up. I am running a RMR on my Glock 40. I was shooting 200 grain GC WFN over 7.9 grains of Power Pistol. I will shoot them over the Chronograph tomorrow. The 180 GD that reloaded ran real tight groups as well very close to the same POI as the 200 grain cast at 30 yards. Awesome so far and very pleased.

I too ordered a 7" and the waiting has begun.

I got 1510 FPS from mine today 9.2 grains of Longshot that is just shy of what I get with my Encore 18" barrel.

Where does one get a barrel that length? With the American made LW now cutting it's offerings in half I am at a loss and curious to see about a longer barrel for my 29. With a light mounted it's no longer compact and I enjoy the increased energy for sure. Dropped in a 4.6 inch barrel the other day and was amazed at how much the impact on steel was increased. For handgun hunting, if the POA POI wasn't too badly shifted and I wasn't worried about space and drawing, I'd take the longest barrel I could. I'm converted and convinced.
