I've had the Sig TACOPS for 2 months - love the gun, less recoil than the P220 in 10mm, hot loads are very accurate (Blue Dot, Power Pistol, CFE Pistol), and loads around 1100fps with 180gr also work well.  Close to 1000rds so far, 100% reliable.

If you like 1911s, you'll like the Sig.

Do you have any idea of the TACOPS weight vs the 220 weight? Thanks!

1911 10mm tacops with empty mag 42.35 oz

P220 10mm DA/SA with empty mag 44.40 oz

I thought the 220 might weigh slightly more and it does, thank you. I find the recoil on the 220 very manageable, I'll have to see if any of my friends have a TACOPS to compare.

Do you guys that own the P220 really like it. Anyone from Minnesota

Im partial to two of them. My Dan Wesson Razorback was my first 10mm, and it is super accurate. It eats anything I want to feed it with no burping. I have not found any type or weight of bullet it will not fire well. Then I splurged a bit and got a Fusion Firearms Traditional long slide hunter. Also very accurate and a little enhanced velocity out of the 6" barrel. Also I use the Razorback as the lower for my Mechtech CCU, so I have a 10mm carbine with a 16" barrel I just love to play with.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

That's awesome. Pic of the fusion please! After I get more involved with 10mm I plan on getting a longside to hunt whitetail with.

I've had a number of different 1911 pistols over the last 30 years from Colts (.45 to 10mm Delta Elite) to Kimbers (included a Kimber Custom TLE/RL II 10mm) to Dan Wesson to my edc, a Night Hawk Custom Recon Enforcer 10mm. The NHC is the best 1911 pistol I've ever owned or carried bar none. That's why I carry it. Because it's the best and that's what I bet my life on.

However, your price range limits things quite a bit. In the $1,100.00 price category I'd say the Kimber Custom TLE/RL II is a great option. Mine was flawless and accurate. It's not a NHC, but, neither is the price. Another option and one that I would pick if I was limited to $1,500, I'd get (and I have one already) a Dan Wesson Silverback 10mm Blemished model (extremely minute cosmetic blemish like a tiny knick on a brand new factory production gun) for $1,500.00. It's a much better gun than the Colt Delta Elite (so is the Kimber) or the Kimber or any Springfield Armory. The Silverback is also a better 1911 than the Razorback. Check it out.

While I do not have a SIG 10mm, I do have a SIG P229. I like it a LOT!

I have a G29, a Kimber Camp Guard, and a G40.
I purchased them in that order.
Were I starting over I would skip the Kimber. It is a beautiful gun, but not dead reliable. It throws brass farther than you can find it. It shoots laser straight.
I suggest you buy a 29 and a 40. You would have the big and small end of 10mm covered. They would come in under your $1500 ceiling and leave you with holster money.
My neighbors dog has been telling me some very disturbing things lately. I just ignore him because everybody knows that dog is crazy.

1911 is and will always be my first love.

Yep, 1911's are my first choice and only choice...I could never get myself to buy a glock...

Same here, 1911s all the way. I will never own a Glock never really cared for them. When my friends come out to my place to do some pistol shooting they will bring there Glocks because thats all they have. However when I bring out my Colts and Kimber guess what guns they like to shoot? hint hint it's not the tuperware guns!! And here is the kicker they shoot MUCH  better with my Colts than there own Glocks!!
But then I hear the same old thing" yea I sure do like your Colts and I can shoot them better then my Glocks, but I can buy 2 Glocks for the price of one of them Colts"   :o Im thinking ok so now you can have your 2 Glocks and not hit a dam thing, or 1 1911 and be able to hit what your shooting at ::)

In all fairness though I would have to say if it wasn't for Colt making the Delta Elite Iwould have never ever found out just how great the 10 is. And my hat goes off to Glock and the people that bought Glocks first because of the price point or perhaps they had a Glock 9mm and loved the gun so they went off and bought one of there favorite pistols in 10mm, which all helps us 10mm fans in the long run :) and that's what all of us want!!
