So, I want to buy some spare mags for my Delta, and I've been looking at a few different brands. The factory mags seem to work well but at $42.00 each, I'm looking at some other options as well.

Midway has some Mec Gar mags that are attractively priced.  Before I buy, I wanted to know what you guys think. I'll spring for the factory mags if they are the best, but if I can get the same quality and reliability for the same price, I would rather go that route. What do you guys think?

Look for ones made by Metalform. They are identical to factory mags but you don't have to pay for the pony to be stamped on them. I use them and can't tell a difference.

I have a number of Mec Gar magazines for my Delta and RIA, they work great. That is my experience with them, I've always bought the nickel plated ones. I've probably bought 10 or so, no problems at all.

The best 10mm Mags out there, without a doubt are Chip McCormick Shooting Star or Tripp Research .... if you can find them
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what came after HIM !

Mec gar's worked in my RIA 10, but they are a misfeed nightmare in my Silverback 10.  I have many Mec gars I am happy with, but the 10mm's are now in the parts drawer.

If you need a flush fit ... Metalform can be had inexpensively.  If you don't need flush fit and may bet you life on rounds 2-10 ... get the Tripp Cobras.  I carry in a Metalform with a Tripp reload if I have a reload.

Chances are good the Mec gars will work a treat, but I told you why I put mine away.

Found them.  Thanks for the tip!

Tripp mags and an egw higher mag if you need it to make it all work.

I can't speak for a DE, but for my Dan Wesson, the factory mags have run well.  So have the Wilson Combat 10mm's. But I do LOVE the Tripp Research mags.

Add another on the list for metalform. I also have some wilsons, but they actually seem to be unreliable for me.

I have like 10 of the mec gar mags and have never had problems out of any of them . I use them in both my delta and RIA 10mm and they work flawlessly.

Wilson...Mags for people who want a name on it that adds no functional value. I used to run them for my .45 and was shocked at how fast the feed lips spread out of spec. Over priced. Underperforming.

I haven't had any problems with my Wilson mags, but I don't see that they're any better than any other quality mag.  I got several on sale, and I've been happy with them.  I don't see any reason to diss them, but they're not necessarily the Holy Grail of 10mm magazines.

I haven't had any failures out of my Metalforms either.

I have factory Colt, Mec Gar and Metalform magazines for my Delta and all work great.

I tried some Wilson Mags as I have a bunch for my 45's. They sucked, I had problems with the last round, failure to feed and the follower. Wilson wasn't real interested in solving my problems either. That surprised me because in the past they were always helpful.

I've heard the same about Wilson's from other shooters unfortunately.
