What Brand of Magazines came with your Razorback?

Two "Metalform" magazines, came with my new DW Razorback 10mm. And what a disappointment they are - and left me wondering, are these the correct mags for my Razorback?

Here's why: The stainless steel of these mags is unfinished and left in a rough, raw state, unbecoming the polished Razorback, their intended target. As far as their specific caliber (10mm) your left ih the dark for nowhere does the '10mm' appear on these mags. Removal of the polymer floorplate, all you'll  find is the  Metalform trademark and that's it. Witness holes are void of round count numbers. These mags just don't look as if they go with the Razorback pistol. Thanks,

SS.

Well, you were spot on describing the pair I got with my Silverback with the exception of the red text.  The floorplate in my mags is stainless with a rubber bumper fixed by two tiny phillips head screws.

This is the first magazine complaint I have ever seen that does not present performance issues.  So, the fix for yours is easy ... load'm up, shove'm in the magwell and make that magazine catch earn its keep.  They definitely look the part when they are installed and ready for service.

I get that you expected a "to do" given the size of your investment.  Let us hope that all the magazine related "to do" was invested in reliability.  Mine are flawless in the Silverback.  And, on the subject:  I have a pair of 10mm mags by Mecgar which functioned flawlessly in my old RIA 10.  The Mecgars do not keep up with the Dan Wesson and have been removed from service.  I replaced those with Metalforms (blued, butt ugly, dead reliable) and Tripp Cobras (polished, heavy, dead reliable and "outwardly worthy").  The Tripps are likely the quality level you expected.  The replacement metalforms are flush fit, so they pull carry duty.

dred thanks; For a while there I began to think I was being too picky. I also bought Mec-gar mags for my RIA 10 (first 10 that got me hooked on 10mms),
in the blue finish to replace the stock RIAs one mag. Thanks for the heads up to the Mec-gars inability to keep-up with your DW.
I'll definitely take your advice on the metalform, and look into Tripp Cobras. My stable of 10s has grown with the addition of the Razorback (my first DW),
and the Sig Hunter (boy this is another beauty).

The new Wilson Combat 10mm mags with the metal follower (47NX) function well so far in both my DWs and Nighthawks.
