I hope you can see for yourselves just how passionate I am when it coms to this stuff, the work was systematicly processed with great care for accuracy using the equipment, tools and references I have at my disposal.

Some were positive IDs some were questionable...I gave it my best to cover the bases and document the findings.
I want to thank Intercooler for sharing the commercial ammo for this venture of demystifying some of the ammo we shoot.
Some the ID is blatantly easy (IMR800X, Blue Dot, LongShot, Power Pistol) yet there are some that leave us still searching for answers.

AA#9 has undergone some changes, so while some of these fit the powders loading tables for the bullet weights, there is still lot to lot differences from the manufactres and some use "non canister grade powders".  This adds to the speculations and leaves us guessing.

When I get time to shoot the loads I'll do my best to update the info as I obtain chronograph data & recover cartridge casings
to take measurements and make more notes.

Please look over my request for powder pictures in the Handloading section if you can supply any of them to help us learn more.

As always stay safe and work carefully when you take on the challenges of handloading!  It is a great hobby, if you are willing to understand the steps involved and work methodicly to get each step right, accurate and precise to the point you trust your tools and your work to give you the rewards you seek!

Thanks for your efforts! I'm still rather shocked not enough info and pictures of the powders people have been working with countless years exists out there!  :o

What firearm and barrel will you be using?
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Lots of information. Thanks for the willingness for you both to get this out there.

Curious about the C.O.A.L. readings. They varied, even within offerings of a single manufacturer. All were less than 1.260". How sensitive are semi-autos to the OAL?

Great work Shadow!  You have provided us some fabulous information!

I know this was an older thread!  :o
It has been a grueling last few days rebuilding the addresses on the 10mmFirearms forum so the pictures continue to show without interruptions...
I have a good majority of them, the most important are done! Hoping postimg.org holds fast and true! ;D

Looks like the work will continue as more ammo becomes available to take a peak inside... ::)

This community is great.  The people here are great.  There is a huge repository of information here about our favorite cartridge.

But the crowning jewel of this website is the pull-down data.  I can't thank you enough.  I use this information all the time as a reloading resource, and I am sure I am not alone.

Intercooler and several others need to be thanked for their contributions to the project.  It has been a labor of love for me to do the documentations from preservation standpoint!

I especially like looking at ammo that is discontinued or as in the case of Swamp Fox Ammo, where Mike Willard suddenly passed away during the prime of his company, can examine what was being used.  From my perspective he took the 10mm ammo to the highest levels of performance, however there were some consequences.  The "Use ONLY in Well Supported Chambers" warnings became part of the labeling.

Then there is Mike McNett of Double Tap, who's company has literally exploded to new hights.  He has loaded for not only his product line, but also for Ted Nugent and most recently the COLT ammo product lines...  The COLT product is even in our favorite cartridge the 10mm and at the moment is our most recent entry as purchased by me.

The 10mm Cartridge continues and firearms companies are seeing and hearing from enthusiast to produce newly chambered 10mm offerings! LONG LIVE THE 10MM!

I'd also like to pass on to others on the forum those using PhotoBucket as their hosting site, before it is too late, start transferring your picture links to another service or your pictures will not show where posted third party!

I also want to issue a big thank you to Patriot our forum's owner for his dedication by allowing us this avenue called the 10mm-Firearms.com.
