How would you guys feel shooting the UW +P+ ammo thru the smaller pistols ie: Springfield Armory HellCat and SigSauer P365?
I've shot some through my Glock 43. I wouldn't have any issues with it in that gun. Shield would be a no. I've see some gnarly brass in the shields from +p loads. Looks like the old Glock 40s&w brass. A pretty substantial bulge. I haven't fired a p365 or hellcat so I cannot speaks on those

Well, the P365 is rated for +P ammo, just not sure how the experience or accuracy would be 😀
Will be shooting some simulated +p loaded ammo through the 365 today!

So here's a little test, the Underwood 124gr +p+ through the Glock 43, and two sig v-crown 200gr +p's. Starline brass, 9.2gr silhouette. 1067 and 1054 fps. This load was from Sierra's 45acp +p manual.

Clear ballistics gel, 9mm 124gr +p+ penetrated 13.3"

45acp v-crown +p penetrated 12.75"

Will have official measurements when I get home on max expansion.

Nice expansion on the V Crown's
I was shocked the 9mm version isn't a big expander. I definitely didn't see this coming. I know with the factory offering they're a little anemic on velocity for a 200gr.

The Sierra manual says 9.2gr is supposed to be 1120fps from a 5in barrel. I was shooting an M&P 4.5in. So probably around 1075-1100fps from a good 5 inch tube.

Here's the final numbers on the max and average expansion. I opted to fire a factory 124+p gold dot for comparison to the Underwood +p+ loading.

not on the +p version. But that is fairly easy to obtain. I run either 6.1gr of autocomp for around 1230fps starline brass 1.113" col, from my m&p 9mm 4.25" or 6.4gr BE-86 for ~1240fps 1.120" col starline brass. federal or cci small pistol primer.
