The_Shadow

They were smokin' along!  :o  I think I saw 1447 fps in the first test I did with Kevin's load from the Ruger P-85 back then.
What was the previous data from the one's previously tested?
Did you get the brass for those?  If yes how did they look?   ???

I did, however they are now all mixed together. I don't recall anything crazy and it looks like the mystery is solved.

I want to say that the number were very close to what you got in you original test shots!  Here they are...
Great results as usual!

Underwood 115gr +P+ Speer Gold Dot Limited 4.75": 1469, 1473, 1473. Average = 1471.66 FPS/ 553 LBS
Todays Test Underwood 115gr +P+ Gold Dot EAA Limited 4.75" 1493 FPS/ 569 LBS
Underwood 115gr Gold Dot +P+ Hunter 6": 1540, 1565, 1532, 1519, 1527, 1530. Average = 1535.5 FPS/ 602 LBS.
About a 65 FPS increase over the 4.75" Limited barrel. I guess if you have a 4.5" -4.75" barrel you are getting about all you can out of 9mm rounds.

Underwood 124gr +P+ Nosler EAA Elite Limited 4.75" 1366, 1385, 1369, 1397, 1370, 1381, 1380. Average = 1387 FPS/ 530 LBS
Todays Test Underwood 124gr +P+ Nosler Eaa Limited 4.75" 1397 FPS/ 537 LBS

Underwood 147gr +P+ Gold Dot EAA (Limited 4.75") 1265, 1271, 1244, 1268, 1261. Average = 1261.8 FPS/ 520 LBS

That was a great experiment, for never having seen AutoComp powder, studying and profiling it's performance, then obtaining pictures to compare, then obtaining an actual sample to verify!  Its why I like doing this stuff!  ;D
The 121 grain Zero bullet is a true 0.3560" diameter, that would account for some extra drag, but should be very accurate!

Now I need to get that G-23 to my brother and turn that money into a 9mm pistol for me!  BTW, I was looking for a 9mm before the G-23 was dropped in my lap! 8)

I want a CZ. In particular a Shadow and since you borrow some of that... I vote for you getting a CZ Shadow 9mm.

The_Shadow

Yes I'll have to consider that one, hoping for a good spring and summer for grass cutting to make a few dineros!  Either that are hit the lottery!   :))
