N350, HS-6 and True Blue are others mentioned for 9mm Major.

REDLINE, if you scroll back upward. I posted a picture of LongShot on paper next to the actual pull down powder in the scale pan!

The AutoComp is definitely smaller flattened ball powder structure...given the facts of some of the competition people using the AutoComp in their power division, it is one to work up loads for the 115 grain GDHP 9mm performance test.

Thanks.  That spells it out for me.

RamShot Silhouette is the same as Winchester Action Pistol from what others have said?  So I will need to try and get a look at the two for visual references.

Modified Yondering was correct about the WAP...

I don't think that's correct. Did some searching this morning, I've found a bunch of references to Silhouette being the same as the discontinued WAP. Evidently Winchester replaced WAP with Autocomp, and Ramshot (Western Powders) picked up WAP.

I was about to buy some Autocomp, but think I'll try Silhouette instead, based on what I've read about the two.

The_Shadow

Yondering, you are correct I went and reread my notes it was WAP and not Auto Comp, I changed my earlier post to reflect the correction.  Thanks! 8)

Cool.

Problem is, Underwood could be using either one, or neither. I do think it's probably one of these though, and I'm guessing Silhouette/WAP for now, based on what I've been reading about 9mm major loads on the Brian Enos forum.

The_Shadow

The post I read on Brian Enos site there was a guy that was using Winchester Auto Comp in the powder weight of the Underwood load for his round.
I still researching my stuff for the 1994 publication of Winchester for data on their then "NEW" Auto Pistol powder...which as mentioned is said to be RamShot's Silhouette that shows 115gr bullets loaded with 6.0 grains @ 1155 fps 32,100 psi.

I found some of my earlier Winchester publications and even the 1996 load data doesn't list or show the data for Winchester Action Pistol...go figure!  ???

IMR4756 is another powder in the profile of charge weight to yield to ponder, I don't have any of it on hand either. ???

OK, I ordered some Silhouette today; I'll be working it up towards Underwood's loads and will report how it compares.

If you wouldn't mind posting a pic of the powder with something for size reference, that would be cool too!

Well after looking at the IMR4756 powder it is definitely not the one, that stuff looks close to Power Pistol visually.  I am still leaning towords AutoComp for this 9mm loading?

I'll post a pic of it next to the powder from the Underwood load. Remind me if I forget.

Well I here is a picture of Sillhouette powder it is still very much a candidate for this Underwood 9mm load.
Yondering's testing could reveal even more data.

Sillhouette powder...
