Glock 40 looks like a shooter

My first post. Thanks Looks like a great group to learn from and hopefully add to. Carried a Glock for over 20 decided to take one in the woods.

First range session with my G40 10mm. Think I got a shooter. Started with Armscor 180 FMJ 100 round function check and then a barrel cleaning and 15 rounds of Hornady 180 gr Custom 1180 fps. 20 yd group little high but just getting used to her. Son shot 5 rounds I shot 10 nice tight group.

Think I got a shooter!

After the range session no failures or problems at all. Removed the finger groves 360° stippled and undercut the trigger guard. Now she feels perfect.

Chambers support seems good, brass measures .433

I just haven't been able to bring myself to remove the finger grooves on my G20 SF yet. I don't care for them, but for some reason that alteration is a hard one for me to get a start on.

I have no problem going crazy on my 1911's or my Witnesses though. Go figure.

Thank you! I've been stippling glocks locally for a few years. Alot of practice and patience. About 4-5 hours total. Makes a world of difference.

can i ask, how the grooves were removed, and any other grip reduction was done? i love my G20.3, but my hands are just a touch small for it. I shoot it plenty, but would like to feel a better grip on it. many gunsmiths where i live wont the work, for fear of messing up. understandable.

I will be getting that very same red dot! I am picking my Venom up tomorrow. I was getting it for my Ruger Mark 4 Lite but wasn't sure how I would like it so I got a very affordable one instead. With the 10mm I feel the Venom is the right route to go! Very nice set up there. ${$default_smiley_smiley}$

I love the G40 10mm. This is 15rds with the Burris FF3 off hand at 10yrd S&B fmj 180gr factory ammo. By far my favorite? Glock now.
