Yes, it IS a "SUPER" SP101, because it's both, a .22lr and a .22wmr
Had the SP101 for quite some time
The Original Owner had a Pistol Smith work it into the wmr and that's how it was when I bought it
A few weeks ago, I found a .22lr Cylinder and now I have a SP101 Convertible;
A "Super" SP101   8)
The Cylinders aren't as easy to change from one to another as in the Super Single Six, BUT it is doable:

Cool.

I inherited a couple of cheap single action 22 revolvers that have both cylinders.  But they have terrible accuracy and spit lead like crazy.

Glad to hear you have a good one, and the SP101 is a great platform for this.

Yes that's a great looking pistol and cylinder comb

Thanks Guys
Hoping to get it (with both Cylinders) to the Range soon

Took the Super SP101 to the Range
The 22 wmr Cylinder was very unreliable, about 75% FTFire on the first pop
Always fired on the second pull
The 22lr Cylinder ran 100% with Federal 550 Bulk
I figure the issue with the wmr was the Wolff, Reduced Power (10 pound), Hammer Spring
Reinstalled the OEM power Hammer Spring
So now to try it out with the wmr Cylinder again

I have a Taurus 992 that does both. It's been excellent!

Hey IC
The 992 looks sweet
Do you have the means to slug or otherwise mic the Bore of your 992 ?
I mic'ed the Bore of my 22 Handguns (not my Conversion Kits):
"Super" SP101 0.216"
MkII Target 0.216"
SP101 (gen 2, 8 Round) 0.218"
Super Single Six 0.219"

Note the two tightest; a Target Pistol and the "Super" SP101
And a true Ruger Convertible 22 being the loosest
Thinking I may have to lap the Bore to reduce any chance of over pressure

There are two ways I know of:
One is using a Bore Gauge
I used my Starrett Small Hole Gage to get the Lands on mine

The other is to "Slug the Bore"
You either fire a Slug into a Barrel of Water to keep it un-deformed
Or force one through the Bore with a Rod
Then you Mic the Lands and Grooves left on the Bullet
Of course the Slug is a negative of the Bore
But it does (but not always) give you the depth of the Grooves, and the true measurement of the Lands
There's also the possibility that the Grooves are deeper then the the OD of the Slug

Got my Wife's SP101 all set-up
Wolff Reduced Hammer and Trigger Return Springs
An LPA Sight Tool grounded for the SP101
Two 5 Star Loaders and an 80 Block
96 Rounds, all ready for the Range:

Well, I finally got a chance to take the "Super" SP101 back to the Range after swapping out the Hammer Spring, from the Reduced Power, back to the OEM Spring
The wmr ran 98%
1 out of 50 took two tries to pop
The Cases are a b!+<# to eject .... and I can't say why    ???
Pretty go accuracy though
One, 6 Round string, Slow Fire, SA at 15yrds:

Could the trouble with ejection be a sign of over pressure from the Bore possibly being too tight ?
Thinking I may have to lap the Bore to reduce any chance of over pressure, that may be the cause of the Cases getting tight in the Cylinder
Thoughts ? ? ?

Found out .22 WMR was actually built by Ruger    https://www.rugerforum.net/threads/found-some-interesting-info-on-my-super-sp-101.385621/#post-4473441
One of three R&D models and this one somehow got out
The trouble was that Ruger never finished reaming the Chambers in the .22 Mag Cylinder
Took it to the Sportsman's Smith Shop and they got it finished
Works GREAT now
