I own a P40...So far it's an absolute piece of junk! Save your money and get a Sig, Glock or used Smith 10 series. The pistol jams with any brand of ammo and the magazines fall out every other shot!  It's going back for warranty work .

You may have a lemon or a pistol that needs work, but you certainly can't make the universal statement that the pistol is a piece of junk. There are Glocks and Sigs that have problems also. Mine has been flawless since the first hundred rounds. I had the mag drop problem a few times and no more since. I don't know if something needed to break in or if it was me, but in the last 900 rounds or so no problem with the mags. I own Glocks, a Sig, a RIA and a Colt in 10mm. The Grand Power may not have the fit and finish of my 220-10 as it is partly plastic, but it has almost double the magazine capacity and weighs less. I like it and I shoot it well. Let us know how you are treated and if the gun runs when you get it back from service. Thanks!

Happy to hear yours is running good. Mine drops the mags out while firing. The pistol does have a lifetime warranty for the original owner. I hope the gunsmith can figure it out. I do like the feel of the gun in my hand. Take down and assembly isn't as fast and easy As I like in a semi-auto. Mostly due to the long recoil spring and required indexing of the rotary barrel. I'll get faster with more practice I'm sure.
