Best two bullets for deer and hogs?

Wondering if there is a consensus on the best commercial jacketed SP/HP and the best cast bullet/mold for the 10mm. I am specifically thinking Glock 40 as the platform, but any 10 is eligible.  I am guessing the Hornady 200-grain XTP would be very near the top of the jacketed list, and something from 200-120 grains with a really big meplat for the cast bullet. I have NO field experience with the 10mm, so would love to hear thoughts from those who have some.

Hornady 200 grain XTP's are fairly tough and up to the task.  200 and 220 grain WFN cast should also provide a pass through shot on most animals making two bleeding holes...  Deer have been taken with 135 Noslers driven at good speeds and some have broken ribs entering and exiting at reasonable ranges...

The key like anything is bullet placement for a humane clean kill.

Personally, If I needed to be sure of adequate penetration and most always pass thru's. I would choose a good hard cast, in cast I much prefer a WFN GC design. So my first choice would be a 200 WFNGC bullet. I like the little Velocity boost of the 200 over the 220. I dont think the extra weight adds enough for what is lost form case cap and attainable velocity.



Here is my two favorite hunting cartridges when Im using a handgun. The 45 Colt and 10MM.



As for the 135 Noslers, I do like the bullet. I haven't recovered one as they all but vaporize at 1800+ I hit coyotes at when using them. (16'' MechTech) Entrance are nearly a half dollar, but always a quarter in size, exits are rare but usually multiple little slits.

Have others had experience with these on game at regular velocities?

I've used both the Beartooth and DoubleTap 200 grain WFNGC bullets. I weighed and compared them and the Beartooths were much more consistent in weight. They were also more accurate using both Longshot and Blue Dot powder in my Glock using a KKM barrel.

Montana Bullet Works is now selling a 200 grain LBT WFNPB bullet and a powder coated version too and they are even more consistent in weight than the Beartooths and they ship them very quickly. I am still waiting for a shipment of some Beartooths I ordered on October 2nd 2016.  Montana Bullet Works shipped me the ones I ordered within a few days. I like the 200 grain hardcast for a bear defense load and for hunting with the 200 XTP a decent alternative choice where expansion is more important than penetration.

I do not know, I buy them form DT ammo as shown in first pic. I did complain when those arrived as shown loose in the box with most of the lube knocked off. Next order was packaged better.

They do shoot very well for me from my KKM barrel.

Another favorite I did not mention is the Winchester Silvertip 175g. But as they seem to be hens teeth, thats kinda moot. I have about fifty left and will hold them close.

Those very much look like Veral Smith designs of LBT. I just had an excellent Accurate mould made to a very simular standard. In fact I like the WFN and Accurate mould so much I am going to sell my Mihec HP mould.
