I'm working on cloning this ammo with a friend. The powder is so far unknown. Any help finding the powder is appreciated.

I'm between Winchester AutoComp and Hodgdon CFE Pistol.  Care needs to taken as the 100% copper bullet is longer than a lead core counterpart.  CFE Pistol is faster burning and builds pressure faster and usually uses less powder than AutoComp.

Hodgdon shows the following data for the 380 with a 90 grain HDY from 3.75" BBL
CFE Pistol 3.7 grains @ 880 FPS - 11,900 PSI and 4.2 grains @ 1010 FPS - 19,500 PSI
AutoComp 4.1 grains @ 893 FPS - 11,200 CUP and 4.5 grains @ 1012 FPS - 15,500 CUP

I'm loading the Sierra 90 grain JHP's over 4.6 grains of AutoComp...1012 FPS from the Ruger LCP

My best guess is if they are running 5 grains that it is AutoComp...

The powder from the pull has besides the larger kernels also very fine and round powder. Could it be a mix?

Underwood has started using the LOVEX powders like those from Shooters World which are rebranded.  But as I looked them over I didn't see any that fit the visual or the loading data profiles.  DO36-01 very similar to Silhouette & D037-01 very similar to AA#7

I had thought about RS Silhouette (use to be Winchester Action Pistol) but when you study the data it just falls short.  However these 100% copper bullets (Bullet Diameter: 0.3545") do have power bands that reduce frictional surfaces, so that may keep pressures in check.

That's an interesting detail.

I have a feeling that this is the powder. Or 01, which is supposedly #7?

Midway is out of stock. Any other places to order D036-07 from? Ammoseek has no Lovex at all.

By the way: D036-07 is only for sale to ammo manufacturers with license. I think it's safe to say that Underwood is using this powder.
