Just placed the order for that Wolff non-captive 21# spring.  8)

Also ordered some more 9x25 ammo from Underwood.

Good choice. I love the 1# increments on the Wolff non-captive springs.

Both my Wolff springs and Uw ammo came in today. Got the springs installed and I can feel the difference and the lock up is solid.

Can't wait for the weekend for some range fun.  :D

Olgo, it would be interesting to see if UW is still using 800X or if he swapped to a different powder in the 9x25's...

I have pondered the 9x25 for some years myself.

I took a quick look this am, I see none offered anywhere. I did see sales on them some months back I guess I should have jumped....

Is this now a defunked cartridge?  I see ammo available...

There are no guns currently offered straight up in 9x25, probably never were. It is a wild cat to be sure.  Popular, on the cusp. Barrels were made and more will be made. LW 9X25 will be back.  RWM Extreme did sell some. I guess some were made for race guns as the initial purpose. And custom made for SW 10XX series.

CW, it looks like Double Tap still has some 9x25  in the Defense, Hunter and Tactical

Back when I got into the 9x25 Dillon, I was intrigued by the cartridge being a necked down 10mm and conversion barrels being available for some guns.  My first 9x25 was from Mike McNett of Double Tap with the purchase of a Bar-Sto Barrel he had them make for the S&W1006.  Then later with the G-29 with a LWD factory length and then a LWD 6.02" for the G-20SF.

Was the 357sig a wildcat cartridge that became popular and now a commercial product?

Specificly developed for 357 Magnum from a semi auto https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.357_SIG

Wow, did you get what it said ??  :o

357sig was NOT made by necking down 40sw casings.

That's true. That's why we say the 357Sig is LIKE a .40SW necked down

The final 357Sig casing becomes the same length as a 40S&W...  However if you neck up a 357Sig the casing is longer than the 40, that means that the already short 40S&W is too short to make the 357Sig from it...

When the 357Sig first came about in the 90's, I actually formed the range brass cases to 40S&W needing to trim them shorter to length.  ::)
