I love shooting my LW 9X25 6.2" barrel in my G 20.

I am still debating getting a 16" 9x25 for my RWM AR SBR. I know I'm gonna do it......  ;D

Depends on bullet weight, but  a 115gr should be north of 1800fps

I'm jealous as hell!

I've always loved 357 SIG's.  So I'm getting a 9x25 barrel for my G29 for SD. (when funds and the wife allows)

How do you guys think it will look if I go with a 4.00" barrel vs 3.78"

Also, Olgo, try shooting a 357 sig down the pipe like peeps do the 40 in the 10, 38 in 357, etc etc.

First a NOTE of SAFETY!  Do not shoot a 357 Sig in the 9x25 Dillon chamber, the cartridge will deform as they headspace on the shoulders of the cartridge.  Proper headspacing is critical to longevity of the brass of each of these bottleneck cartridges!  0.000" to less than 0.002" is needed...

I would opt for the longest barrel for the 9x25 Dillon to wring out the best velocity the cartridge has to offer.  I wish the longer barrels were available when I got my conversions.  I actually bought a 6.02" 9x25 Dillon barrel for a G-20 before I bought the gun.  I recently made inquiry to LWD about the 6.02"  357 Sig barrel and they are in the process to switching all the barrels to the Alpha Wolf, to which they said they will be making them soon.

But I'm seriously I'm going to use it for social purposes. I know it will still out perform a .357 SIG from a G32 and even a G31 by leaps and bounds.

Check out this video  https://youtu.be/H_VXhkQkSz4

The Glock 29 with a 3.8" LoneWolf 9x25 barrel averaged 1520-1530ish with Underwood 125 ammo.  I love the 357 SIG and always have, but it would need a 6" barrel to do that. If even then.

By the way, the guy in the video tests a G20 with 6" and 4.6" 9x25 barrels, then the 3.8" 9x25 from a G29

I'm sold on this idea now. That will probably be my first big mod before sights.

A 6 pedal Gold Dot,  at those speeds has got to get at least 16" of penetration and spread out to 0.70"

TNoutdoors9 did a test of Underwood 357 SIG with a 125gr GD bullet from a Glock 32 4" barrel and got ~1510fps. That is ~10fps slower from a 0.2" longer barrel. It doesn't seem worth it to shot the 9x25 in a Glock 29.

Yeah, you and your 357 sig.  :))

I thought about getting a 9x25 barrel, but decided against it because there wasn't a real advantage over my 10mm or 357 SIG for the majority of situations I would encounter. The 9x25 might work against Grizzly Bears, but for everything else out there a more common caliber like 10mm and 357 SIG should work just as good. We only have black bears in California.

I am working on a 357 SIG Long Neck cartridge. http://10mm-firearms.com/wildcats/357-sig-long-neck/
That cartridge will allow more powder than a standard 357 SIG cartridge, but less than a 9x25 Dillon. In Quickloads, the Long Neck has velocities between 357 SIG and 9x25 Dillon. Anther benefit is that I can shoot either the long neck or standard 357 SIG through the same barrel.
