Has anyone ran them over a chrono? What are they even rated at? I got a box threw in with my G29 and just wondered if they are worthy of carry, or just shoot targets with them?

A silvertip will make about 1100 fps from a GLock 29 barrel.  That is Underwood 40 S&W from a full size territory.  Enjoy.

Well I don't have a Glock, But out of both my Colt and Kimber the came in @ 1128 fps a bit off of the claimed 1290 fps, and they weren't cheap :o Right now thats what I use in both my 10s for carry use, lots of better ammo out there for Hunting.

I wonder if Winchester will just keep riding this old line of ammo forever. I'm not saying it sucks, but has changed from the early days.

Well naturally I want to carry Underwood 200 XTP, but maybe the Silvertips would be good for me until I practice with full power 10mm loads some.

Underwood would suit you better. If you're concerned about it seeming too strong then consider their Delta load. Maybe try the Sig load. Hpr has a nice 180 grain load as well. They're full power

I keep forgetting about that Delta Elite load from Underwood. I just wished it had Gold Dots and not  Nosler. I love the Nosler Accubond in rifles, greatest hunting bullet made, but I'm not sure about their bullets for SD.

just a suggestion, but you might want to try the Underwood 165 grain Gold Dot. This is a nice medium weight load, with good power but is controllable.

I remember hearing something about the 165gr Gold Dots having too big of a HP cavity.

Too big for what aspect? Feeding?

These feed fine in my Glocks. Shot a few boxes for practice, feel, and reliability test and then good to go.

I'm looking for it 49. Seems like they over expand or something. It may be another bullet. Since I got this 10mm, and then ended up with the flu from hell (feeling better now) I spent a lot of bed rest just reading about tons of bullets and half a ton of ammos.  Lol

Okay bro. Glad you are feeling better. The 165 grain Gold Dot was designed for higher speeds, FYI.

Pretty sure I read that here, from someone who had contacted Speer about them.

Thank you very much bud, I will give them a look.
