The path of the moon's shadow will cross the U.S. on August 21, 2017. Those within the path will experience a total eclipse of the Sun.

thanks for the tip!  I'm going to go to the most backward 3rd world country I an find. I'll tell them that I am a God and unless they supply me with virgins I am going to bring eternal darkness on them! :D

Very cool.  Looks like a two hour drive north will put me there.

I'm impressed that there is enough interest for some hotels to hire temporary logistics planners for this event.

I've decided to be in the Sawtooth National Forest that day.

Yep.

On my first glance I thought Pocatello would do it, but looks like I need to be in Rexburg.  Three hours thirty-eight minutes from my door according to Google.
