How fast are you looking to push these? If you want a sort of medium, 1,200ish load, I'd be happy to just back off from what I've done with other 180 gr bullets and I'd only need a couple to do the test. If you want to push them around 1,300ish, I'd have to do a proper workup.

I have loaded the Barnes 140 TAC-XP and tested them using the data I worked up for 200 grain XTP's because the lengths were the same.  I think I could do better velocity wise if I were pushing them with 800X which I didn't have at the time.

I will say I like their expansion which is as advertised at the data I worked with, the cost is somewhat prohibitive for playing around with those but in my opinion they would be excelent hunting or self defensive rounds loaded to higher performance levels.

TAC-XP FB 140 grain pn# 40005 10mm/40S&W 0.400"

10.5 grain Blue Dot @ 1178 fps entered the 4th jug of water barely hanging on the entrance hole. Classic opened petals expanded to 0.7495". Primer slightly flattened.

12.6 grains of AA#9 (had to adjust powder shoving the bullet back out 1.270")(Totally compressed @ 12.6 gr.) @ 1181 fps, Primer was totally flattened to the edges. It penetrated 5" of sandy dirt and the bullet failed to open, partially folded in on itself. Case expanded to 0.4280"
10.7 grains of AA#7 @ 1112 fps three jugs inside 3rd jug of water. Petals opened as designed.  Primer badly flattened. Case expanded to 0.4280"
8.2 grains of Long Shot @ 1247 fps entered the 4th Jug of water. Petals opened as designed.  Classic opened petals expanded to 0.7915".  Primer slightly flattened.  Case expanded to 0.4275"
8.0 grains of Power Pistol @ 1220 fps entered the 4th Jug of water. Petals opened as designed.  Classic opened petals expanded to 0.7655".  Primer slightly flattened.  Case expanded to 0.4280"

Raggedyman I'm only looking to go 1150-1200 max with the Berry's 180 FP

SO far I haven't loaded much at all for 10, but for 180 gr at about 1,200 I just finished up 100 or so using 8.7-8.8 gr 800X and I have to say--I'm impressed with this modest, 570 ft*lb load. Very pleasant to shoot and yet no where near as soft and weak as the factory Federals (180 FMJ) I had on hand. I believe this is a high potential load, maybe boosted a tenth or two.
