Flat firing pin stop suggestions

Hi guys,

So in reading about flat bottom firing pin stops, I figured I'd try one in my RIA 10mm Com. Only problem is there seem to be different types, for different calibers? And then different series? Pretty much all I could find in forums was what company people used. So... would this be the correcruiter style/part?

You want series 70.

Also recommend the EGW Flat Bottom Firing Pin Stop. You'll need to fit it. Might be a video on YouTube on how to do this.

Put a EGW in my RIA... took a fair amount of filing and fitting but I am happy with the result was worth the effort ${$default_cheesy_smiley}$

Thanks guys, so it doesn't matter if it says for 45 ACP? So long as it's for a series 70? I ask because I saw 9mm and 40 S&W, but seemed that was for a series 80

Like the others, I only have experience with the EGW firing pin stops. Mainly because they were the first to offer a oversize, flat bottom, firing pin stop, oh so many years ago when I started gun wrenching.

While 9mm & 40 cal firing pins usually have smaller noses, (the part that hits the primer) the heads, (the part the hammer hits) are all pretty close to the same size.
I'm unaware of what brand of FPS your referring to that's offering all these choices but to the best of my knowledge, the main choice to be concerned with is series 70 or 80.
After all, it's oversize and must be fitted anyway.

The ejector is different for the guns in less than 45 ACP. It sits slightly closer to the centerline, and perhaps a bit taller.

You want series 70 38/9/40.

You beat me to the punch sqlbullet, haha, yes, I had to fit this retainong plate, to fit the slide grooved S bit, and enlarge the area to fit the ejector. At first glance it will look like it fit, but then you'll notice that the slide doesn't go all the way forward, and doesn't allow the safety to go fully up. I used my Drexel little bit at a time to get it to fit. Haven't fired it yet, but in testing-slide going forward, safety going up, rackS and ejects bullets, etc. So we'll see....
