Does anybody make a good shoulder holster for the Glock G40 MOS with a red dot optic attached?

Seems like a lot of the holsters I've seen on-line have a support strap right where the optics attach to the slide!

My buddy and I are going to try hunting whitetail deer with our 10mm pistols next month, but we are having trouble finding the right holster.

Please help!

took my Paradise Valley Leather chest holster on my elk hunt this year--- field report:

**fit was perfect--it never slipped or moved the whole time, nice to have my gun where I could get to it if I needed it (yes there are bear in the area still)

**straps adjust easily so when changing layers it is easily changed for either over or under jackets and multiple layers of clothing (low was 6 degrees up on the hill before sunrise, highs were in the mid 50's so jackets and shirts had to be changed for temp so as not to sweat in the cold or overheat in the day)

** nice to have the nylon straps as I did remove the rig late in the day and just fold the straps and tossed it in my pack, also nice when back at the truck, the straps/holster fold flat and sit on the truck seat right next to me on the dark road back to the cabin

** only drawback i had was that the fully loaded double stack 10mm RIA 52000 (200gr wfn ammo) was heavy @ just about 4 pounds--- my longest day of walking was actually over 14 hours on the hill and a full 8.5 hours on my feet traversing the mountain following fresh elk track--this lead to a sore spot on my left shoulder where all the weight is on the 1 strap---I spoke with Gordon from PVL and he is sending me a newly designed shoulder pad that spreads the weight out for heavy guns like mine

*** guys, Gordon is A+ #1 best guy/company I have ever dealt with for customer service---he clearly wants all his customers to be 100% happy with their holster--hands down I would recommend him if you are thinking of a holster for your pistol

I just ordered a Chest Holster for my G40 with TLT-1 light. It was $89.45 shipped.

I will do a review when I get it.

I got my GS holster and it is very well made.

There is a fitment problem due to the suppressor height front sight I have on my G40 which enables me to co-witness with my Red Dot. The sight puts down pressure on the gun which makes the light not to slide into it's designated spot in the holster.

GS has been great to work with and we have had several communications. He wants to give me the holster free since I have had to send one back and wait while they get a new tool for the holster but I told them it was not necessary.

I hope to the have the holster before too long.

Following. I'd like to have a chest rig for my G20 long slide with Suppressor sights, RMR and TLR-1 installed.

Very flexable and well made. I like it so well I am buying more, for my other guns.

Used the Chesty Puller system by Simply Rugged for years with my 629 4".  After getting the Glock 20 SF I scored the super nice Diamond D and loved it.  Was thinking about how to adapt my Simply Rugged to use with other holsters and low and behold they have invented something incredible.  Here it is and it works with MOST of my holsters adapting to the Chesty Puller system.  So now you do not need to purchase a Simply Rugged holster just the Chesty Puller system ($70) and this adapter ($20).  The adapter works so well I passed the Diamond D on after getting it.  It will handle the average width belt slots but is not wide enough to do the wider pancake styles.

I got to use the GS Holster for several months and I really like it. I think it is a great value for the money.

I started out wearing it lower like in the picture but since have decided I like it to ride higher on my chest. Right on my breastbone. It stays out of the way no matter what I am doing but very convenient to reach when sitting in a stand or walking.

I caught myself on trail cam checking feeders.

+1 on DD

If they can make a comfortable chest holster for my 9.5" Ruger 44 mag, they can make a good chest holster for just about anything.

Windhill Holsters makes a great chest rig for the Glock 40 MOS with the optic attachment. They can also make a shoulder rig. The shoulder rig isn't on the website but they do make it. I personally prefer the chest rig over the shoulder rig. Check it out here: https://www.windhillholsters.com/product/glock-chest-rig-new/
