As  Ramshot has no data for True Blue in the 10MM, I came here to see if anyone has tried it  and how did it perform.

Thanks

I haven't.  There was another thread about a month ago that asked this same question.  It was started by Redline and had no replies.

I don't think anyone here has used it.

A quick check of google turned up this article which lists some True Blue data for 10mm.  Reports are that the powder is very like Unique in burn characteristics, but in a ball form.  If that is true it would make a good powder for practice loads, but likely would not provide top velocities.

Some guys tried it over at GlockTalk but velocity wasn't what they hoped for...Most of the testing was done by Mike McNett of Double Tap Ammo

The only data I show from RamShot is for the Barnes XPB Bullets
10mm Auto
Barrel: 5" ■ Twist: 1-16" ■ Primer: WIN WLP ■ Bullet Diameter .400"
True Blue 140 BAR XPB 5.2 grains @ 872 fps 5.8 grains @ 969 fps 32,000 psi 1.135"
True Blue 155 BAR XPB 4.2 grains @ 730 fps 4.7 grains @ 811 fps 32,500 psi 1.135"

Are you sure about that data?  The numbers look like .40S&W, charge, velocity, pressure and C.O.L.

It was in their data [EDITION 4.3] and I thought the same thing too about the numbers...it could be a mess up on their part.  Oh Well I stick with the powders I know better use and trust.

Thanks for the article.  I wish they would have listed the pressure for the loads they worked up, as they claim to have tested them from a 5" pressure barrel and that all loads were within SAAMI specifications.  The specific question is;  Exactly where within SAAMI specifications?  We don't know how they judged where they stopped in MAX load testing.  Is it possible they stopped near the 30,000psi mark as with most 800-X data from IMR at this time?  It would be nice to know, and at this point I have a hard time simply ruling True Blue out completely, as we don't know.  Good stuff though sqlbullet.  Thanks again.
