I have a highly modified RIA 10mm Commander A1 MS TACT ll. Who makes the 10mm magazines for this gun and where can I get them? Please do not suggest that I try any of the after market mag manufactures. I specifically need the RIA 10mm mags.
Thanks

Advanced Tactical is Armscor's shop - they are the source.

The one that came with my RIA(bought brand new in the box) was a Metalform mag if it helps any

Yep, same here and I have bought a bunch of Metalform magazines to match that one!

I just bought 2 armscor factory 10mm magazines on ebay 2 days ago.  They work, not in my eyes the best quality though. They work, but I had on of the feeder pieces on a last round get lodged kind of crooked, kinda messed up my slide function, no damage though, just annoying. Is Metalform a company?

Side note, do you guys know where to buy the rubber piece that's screwed to the bottom of the mags?  My 2 ordered did not come with these

just look on MidwayUSA or brownells...i use these on my 10mm mags https://www.midwayusa.com/product/277586/glend-arms-tactical-edge-magazine-base-pad-1911-rubber-black-pack-of-3  a 4-40 tap is handy to have around when messing with those

Edit....if i was a betting man the factory pads would be these www.brownells.com/magazines/handgun-magazines/magazine-parts/magazine-floorplates/1911-magazine-bumper-pad-prod24857.aspx?avs|Make_3=1911

Yes, Metalform is a manufacturer.  They do a good bit of OEM on Magazines.

A few base pads on Ebay:  http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1311.R1.TR2.TRC1.A0.H1.X1911+magazine+bas.TRS0&_nkw=1911+magazine+base+pads&_sacat=0

Just so you are aware:  you are not limited to RIA Magazines for RIA 1911s; the magazines are platform (1911) specific but not manufacturer specific.  The original poster asked about RIA magazines specifically.  I can get Tripp Cobra Mags which make me happier than RIA's by Metalform for about the same money Advanced Tactical gets for the Metalforms.

Ruzhyo, I am not questioning your motive, but I am curious why you specifically need RIA mags?

Cool guys, thanks for the information.  Sqlbullet, maybe he's like me, new to 1911's, and thought he was pigeon holed like me to one type of mag.  I kind of figured they were all the same, but like all mags should work in AR's..... my Sig disagrees, and it very picky.  So I assumed 1911'S might be same way, he may think the same

Gehl ...

Be careful how far you generalize the concept.  Magazines are certainly not all the same.  For my first range trip with my Silverback, I toted 6 magazines.  2x Mec Gar which were known reliable carry mags before my RIA 10mm was liberated by a thief.  2x Dan Wesson factory mags which were an unknown - I had a pair of Dan Wesson's Checkmate Mags take a trip to Checkmate before they met my expectations of reliability. And, 2x Tripp Cobra Mags which I had high hopes for as his mags are very well regarded.

4 of the mags were flawless.  The 2 known reliable mags aren't even suitable for range use in the Silverback ... 3 mag caused failures per 8 rounds cycled.  So, today a pair of metal form flush fits (followers look promising) arrived.  I loaded them up with 8 rounds each and I'll shoot them next week.  I always load my mags and allow them to take a set before evaluating performance.  If they work, I will have my flush fit carry mag and a spare of the same.

If Ruz is sticking to the factory mags because he knows they work in his pistol ... he's onto something.  It is fair to expect any 1911 mag to fit into any 1911.  Feeding reliably is a more specialized expectation.  I have a small pile of magazines that I only keep because I may scavenge them for parts one day.

I appreciate the advise Dred, I'm a regular at 2 gunshops, so they let me try things on my guns sometimes before I buy, like mags, which I will do when buying some more.  This is how I found out how picky my SIG MCX was, haha.  Only like Gen 2 Magpul Pmags, or the standard military cheapy mags, nothing better, nothing in between that I've found.... Sig-when it counts, right?!  LOL
