A Clinton Presidency

What do you guys foresee under a Hillary Clinton presidency? I was talking to some friends about this recently and they seem to think that gun rights are safe because democrats are unlikely to win the House. A senate takeover is likely but without the house she won't be able to pass any legislation through.

That is a dangerous assumption. If democrats win the necessary races to get over 50 votes in the senate, they'll approve her Supreme Court picks. We could see Heller overturned. Or worse, local legislation like California's new gun laws could be upheld. I saw something on Facebook that really scared me. One anti gun group plans to challenge concealed carry permits all the way to the Supreme Court if Hillary wins. Could we see the end of carrying firearms outside our homes if she gets a 5-4 majority on the high court?

Vote people. Vote. Vote. Vote.

I agree that the Supreme Court appointments will be the single most important issue as it relates to the 2nd Amendment.  She will not have enough support from congress to radically change gun laws and certainly won't have a snowballs chance in hell of repealing the 2nd Amendment.  What she will have is a Supreme Court that can forever redefine the intent of the 2nd Amendment.  It will still be there, but won't mean much.

Gary Johnson may have some good ideas, but he has absolutely zero chance of winning even a single state.  A vote for him is as good as not voting at all.  This election has to be about preventing Hillary from winning.  Above all else, we have to keep her out of office and voting for Trump is the only way to accomplish this.

In the likely event she sways the balance of the court, the trick will be to keep cases from going to the court.  They can't rule on what they don't hear.  That may result in some bad rulings and the district levels that go unchallenged, but better than bad case law nationally.

I don't see any way for Clinton not to win, being honest about it.

Trump only has a few ways he wins.

1. Wikileaks drops the biggest bomb ever (unlikely).

2. Turnout. Black voter turnout drops back to pre-2008 levels with an increase in white male turnout. Throw in lazy millennial voters that stay home playing video games. They got off the couch for Obama, will they do it for Hillary?

I think Trump wins in a nail biter like Bush/Kerry 2004 thanks to turnout.

A Clinton Presidency will bring...
Additional Executive fiats....  They've already signaled as much..
A liberal supreme court nominee is a certainty.  Heller and subsequent rulings will be dead center of the crosshairs...
Gun laws similar to California's will be rolled out in many if not all the blue states.

Those are just the laydown gimmy outcomes....  I suspect and fear far more onerous, insidious, overreaching initiatives and consequences
there of.

lets see here how about more globalism, more open borders and increased government intrusion both foreign and domestic more lies blah blah bullcrap. thats what a hillary world will look like and can't forget more guncontrol that won't work.

I see no way Trump wins.  Black vote turnout isn't going to be low, and the Millenials are terrified of Trump.  Far more so than they were of the moderates that Obama ran against.

Just prepare for what IS coming.  Best I can say.

Even if Trump loses, we have to make sure republicans keep the senate. Hillary must not be allowed to appoint justices to the Supreme Court.

Ever.

Personally I hope Clinton goes down in flames in this election...

We will see a Convention of States, which is already in motion!

This may also help explain things too...

BEEMER!

You do not have to repeal the 2nd amendment.

A liberal Supreme Court can interpret the wording anyway they want and the country is stuck with their decision.

That's exactly right. One anti-gun group plans to challenge conceal carry. A 5-4 majority on the supreme court, whuch Hillary will get at a minimum could abolish conceal carry nationwide if they determine gun rights end at your front door and we have no right to carry in public.

If she wins, you'll no longer recognize America in four years.

No, that's not an exaggeration.

This is the fight for us.  Making sure Hillary has a congress that won't go along with her.  It will still be a rough time as far as the court goes, but especially on the legislative front we have to keep things from passing.

Today, several news sources indicate the FBI is resuming their investigation into her handling classified documents. I've held a secret clearance and I would have been in deep dodo if I had done what she did.  Here's hoping the FBI found their lost integrity.

This new situation may play into fears of government corruption identified in this poll: https://blogs.chapman.edu/wilkinson/2016/10/11/americas-top-fears-2016/

Corruption is #1 and interestingly, over-reaching gun control is #5, tied with terrorism.

I'm not for Trump as a person, but will vote for him as an anti-Clinton vote.  The upside is, he may actually push some of his pro-Constitution ideas.

I worry for a country that will knowingly vote for someone while acknowledging continuing, never ending examples of corruption.

We shall see what comes of this. I know it's given me a sense of hope that the independent swing voters will now vote for Trump. Or at least some of her supporters stay home and not vote.
