I am looking into getting a Hornady Lock-N-Load Auto Charge Powder Scale and Dispenser because my old scale has died after years of use. How good is this dispenser. I found it for 185.00.

I would not hesitate to buy Hornady or RCBS.  I have had great experience with both companies standing behind their products.

I bought one a year ago because my old PACT auto dispenser/scale was getting flaky. I haven't regretted it so far.

If you go with the RCBS Chargemaster, better make sure to remove the powder when done. I kept powder in mine for a couple weeks and it ate the plastic inside and encrusted it badly. It is made in China, which might very well explain why they don't use Nitro resistant plastic or even better steel. Design flaw in my book. Pretty sure the Hornady is not much better in this aspect.

They are also not very precise:

I've been using the Hornady for a couple years now. It does weigh "over" every now and then but but has been fairly dependable. Haven't had any problems with powder left in it either.

Yeah, but that double beep does warn you there was an overcharge. And you have to reset it after the overcharge so I have never put too much powder in a case yet using it.
