I'm not new to the Tanfo's, just the polymer compact. I did a trigger job before hitting the range. Impatient, I guess. Anyway, this was a quick mod to reduce the trigger takeup and some of the creep. I fitted a 'Bolo' disconnector, and took down the hammer hooks a touch. Didn't even polish anything yet. I changed the recoil spring after the first range session. The plastic guns come with twin recoil springs which felt pretty weak, so replaced them with a Wolff 18lb. Next range session the 18 was just so so. I was using basic Armscor 180 FMJ, and mixed it up with some 220 grain Underwood hard cast, and 155 grain Underwood. I had a Wolff calibration spring pack, so jumped up to the 20 lb. Looks like this gun is going to need spring changes for whatever it is I want to shoot.

What's your experience with recoil springs and the various 10mm ammo manufacturers? Especially with your compacts.

Here's the trigger video...

Intermittent feed issues with both Armscor and Underwood ammo. Both with same results of not chambering. I had to pull the slide back on several occasions to assist the round forward.  I'm going to polish the ramp, and inspect the magazines before hitting the range again. It also happened a few times with the 20lb spring. I'm curious about the reasoning behind the dual recoil springs. I had a Witness polymer carry with the same dual spring setup, and I think I replaced it with a 16 lb spring though.

Unless you have no other choice but to run duals, it would get converted to a single! I think I would try an extra power magazine spring first.
