I was looking on the Hennings site at the cone fit guide rods. since my loads are on the upper end, it looks like a good idea but $ is tight right now and I don't want to buy something I really don't need. I was wondering what some of the more experienced Witness owners think about them.

Well worth it! If you can't afford it right now the pistol will do just fine with a 20-22lb spring for a long while. It depends on exactly how many rounds you shoot in say a year? Henning is the only one I know of personally that had his channel go south after tons of competition rounds. I would get one though when the money situation allows it.

thanks. Intercooler. I have been running a 22lb spring. I don't put as much ammo thru my pistols as a competition shooter. but I do like to shoot a lot. ;Dso I'm sure and sure my Witness steel will hold up until the lobster god smiles upon me. :))

The rods spread the impact out over a much bigger area.  And that is a good thing when it comes to wear.

thats what I figured. I just needed to hear something positive. :)) I'm going to get one. thanks. 8)
