I wonder if we will eventually see one of these fall in the hands of a real YouTube tester? Not just someone who runs one ammo type through it and about 50 rounds...then talks about it like it's awesome!

Once my wife gets home I'll get some videos, tough to do that until she does.

Well, I am no self professed YouTube tester, but I have run hundreds of rounds of multiple ammos through mine and I think it's awesome. This not to say it is, it just is for me. I don't think I would ever find a G20 awesome, even while I acknowledge that it is a reliable, durable, popular platform.

I agree, I already like the GP 40 much more than my G20. If everything else was equal it handles the spent brass much better.

I'm sure as more get out videos will follow. I like the torture tests like MAC is currently running on pistols.  I think the GP wouldn't do real hot in those dirt tests with the rotating barrel. Hopefully someone goes over the decocker function. Having tried the Sig and CZ decockers, I wasn't a fan of either.

It is actually a decocker / safety. It decocks, but it stays in the decock position until pushed back up. In the decock position every shot is DA.

Hmmm. I haven't seen the 4.25" up close yet. In looking at the picture of this one... extended safeties, fiber front, adjustable rear and 5" barrel/slide.

The_Shadow

That's interesting looking...the switches look like prison cell door controls.

Some of the grip features may not be desirable, depending on how pronounced they are.  This would need to be an in hand fit testing to see how it feels! ::)

The grip on the P40 doesn't have the replaceable backstraps. That said, I and everyone who have held my P40 10mm have found it to be very comfortable. I did add the Tractiongrips to it. Without it the grip can be very slick.

As to the switches, the look like 2 position spring return. Very common in any industrial area.

Yes, I find it very comfortable. Feels much better in the hand than my G20.

Where would one find one of these mystical beasts? Can't seem to talk to anyone that has any knowledge of them..

If the 4.25" is your game phone Henning up. He's the best shot at getting one if one is around to be had.
