Wolfie, by your logic, or lack thereof, Christians and radical Muslims should get along splendidly, because according to you, they both have the exact same belief system/mindset. I seem to remember, however, that radical Muslims are killing Christians on sight, by the thousands. Could it be because radical Muslims are EXTREMISTS, not conservatives, and their faith calls for the immediate death of anyone who doesn't follow their fanatical views.
I started this thread to express my outrage over the killing of 50+ innocent people by a fanatical zealot, and to illustrate the fact that like it or not, we're at war with an unknown number of murderous psychopaths, some of whom were born here and became indoctrinated, and others who came here from another country already radicalized. I started it to vent about how now, more than ever, our ability to defend ourselves faces its' greatest threat under the current political regime, and its' possible successor. I didn't start it to get into a pissing contest about how, in your eyes, conservatives are the root of all evil.
It's getting old.

We defeated Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan in 4 years. The GOP in 7 years could not close out a bunch of camel jockeys or even find bin Laden. So please don't even try to say the GOP is better at fighting terrorism than the Democrats are.

You are conflating politics with religion. There is no "far right" in religion. That is a political term only. Your attempt to link the two exposes what you are really trying to accomplish.
Perhaps you can say that all three groups are strictly textual in their religious beliefs. If that is the case, though, query the text to discern why it seems that our modern religious murderers read from one religious text as opposed to the other two.
From the news reports that I've read today, your pal Hillary is already stoking for a gun grab. Is that why you've switched from taking your usual position about gun-grabbing Republicans and are now talking about weak on terror Republicans? Just curious.

The gun grabbers will never be happy until they get all guns out of the hands of civilians. Don't believe me? A few years ago,  SAFE Colorado (Sane Alternatives to the Firearms Epidemic) co-president John Head was asked a question. He was asked if he somehow accomplished all of his 'goals' for firearms and their use(Assault Rifle Ban, Universal Background Check, Safe Storage of Firearms, 21 years old Minimum Firearms Purchasing Age, Magazine Size Limits, etc., ), would he then cease and desist with his pursuit of further gun restrictions. His answer? NEVER!  It's always NEVER with these morons.One need only to look at California to see a perfect example of NEVER. That's why it makes no sense whatsoever to negotiate our rights away. We need to dig in and fight. GIVE THEM NOTHING, or we will surely lose EVERYTHING.

Why should two groups of mentally ill people get along?

The Crips and Bloods attacks each other. The Hell's Angels and Mongols attack each other. Raider and 49er fans attack each other. What is so odd about Christians and Muslims attacking each other?

I think we need to fix our own people first: The arson is more of a problem than the fire, although the fire does need to be put out. Secondly we need to stop trying to save the world.

Sqlbullet, I agree with you, but we have to accept the fact that there is evil in this world, and some things cannot be fixed. Help those who can be helped, but be prepared to put the mad dogs down as well.
