I've used BlueDot, decent powder but I've had inconsistent powder measures.  I always seem to come back to Autocomp and HS-6 as my go-to powder (I usually load 180g bullets or higher).  Of course there's tons of powders I haven't used yet, I'm in AK so sometimes you have to take what you can get.  On the flip side I've had bad experiences 800-X and Longshot.

On a side note you'll have the best accuracy with minimum or near minimum published load data, you can really tame 10mm.  Of course many will argue that's hardly the point of the 10mm so follow your heart.

I haven't ordered yet, but HS-6 looks good for my uses as well.

I know AA #9 will be on my list!

I completely understand.

I am going to get some HS-6 I know and I found AutoComp in an 8 pound jug for REALLY CHEAP so I may go ahead and get it too.

I am still leaning to AA #9 for hunting loads.

Just my opinion......

That would be a strike-out on my powder shopping list, for 10mm.

HS-6 is OK, but just OK. It will get you in the 500-550 FPE range with larger bullets. It's better with 155 gr. and less bullets. There are better faster-level powders. I have had curious success with it and carbine-length barrels. It's better left to .40SW duties.

Autocomp is similar to HS-6, but is more peakish to pressure with small increases, and the speed limit comes up fast. Again, there are much better alternatives to either. WSF and/or BE-86 would be much better, for either.

AA9, in my opinion, is not ideal for 10mm, at any bullet weight. A lot of people use it, but results are all over the map. It is too slow and doesn't compress well. It is safe, however, as you can't overcharge it with heavy bullets. I've also found it to be very inconsistent during freezing temperatures. This was curious to me, as .44M and .45LC rounds never did this. Longshot, AA7 or Blue Dot would be better alternatives. In regards to hunting, assuming heavier bullets, Longshot produces the greatest velocities, while Blue Dot produces the greatest accuracy and consistency with a minimal loss of velocity.

I'm not saying your choices wouldn't work, only that they are far off the ideal mark. I would only use or recommend them if that's all you can source. I use Blue Dot, Longshot and 2400 almost exclusively for 10mm Auto. But, I don't load "plinker" 10mm. The .40SW does fine in that need. Just the same, I don't down-load .357 or .44 Mags. That's what the Spl's are for, and it's only a matter of economics, or training beginners.

Accurate no. 9 is all about bullet pull. Nothing gives more consistent ignition and low standard deviations on velocities like stuffing a 200 gr XTP over a full charge charge #9 into a new Starline case. 13 grains consistently gives 1200 fps or a hair more from my G20. No ammo groups better in my Glock. My 200 gr WFNGC hard cast loads fit more powder, and they are more like 1230 fps. Im so confident in that load that it is what I carry in the wilderness. There is some temp sensitivity, less so with the newer American made lots, but that is true with any powder.

Accurate no. 9 in older, less ductile, cases soiled with nitro fouling can be 100 fps slower with wider velocity spreads. This likely the mixed results folks see.
