I wish  glock would make a glock 36 sized gun but in 10mm, but what is the thinnest concealed carry option in 10 mm. I own a glock 29, but it is thick, is the eaa polymer compact thinnest or what are the 1911 options like compared to glock 29

What holster are you using for carry? Just wondering.

I only have a kydex OTW for the 29, any recommendation? I currently carry a lcr 357 but would like to carry a 10mm sometimes.

I am enjoying my Advanced Holster GL-1(  http://advancedholster.com/products/mini-gl-1 ).  I have the production version with the optional Ulticlip( http://advancedholster.com/products/ulticlip ). He also makes a custom kydex version.  I'm no gun-toting expert, barely a novice, but I think because of the minimal design it works great with the wider G29. Brent (owner of Advanced Holster) is also a friend of mine, so I am partial. :)

I carry a Bond Arms Cowboy Defender two shot Derringer style during the summer. As far as I know it's the smallest 10mm on the market. Obviously capacity is limited but I carry an extra six rounds on my belt. I've become pretty fast at reloading.

hey Patriot, how painful is that bond arms 10mm to shoot? I have been curious about them ever since I saw the ads in a gun rag some time ago.

I have a AMERICAN derringer in 45COLT/410. I have fired some warmer 45colts and it "buzzes" your hand. The 10MM is less than that and the BOND as well as the AD, has a broad grip and good weight. I have fired many calibers in a derringer thru the years. I don't think that a 10MM would be too bad at all.

Dont get me wrong, its not a good choice for a Saturday plinker, but as a defensive firearm, you will not kill your hand practicing with it.

It's not bad. I imagine I wouldn't notice the recoil if I had to use it for an emergency. I'd just be glad I had it.

If you want something that carries why not just consider getting a Glock 23 or 27? They're not 10mm Auto but they are 10mm, in .40 S&W form.  They pack plenty of power for any social (and most non-social) threats.

Many calibers and platforms are suitable for carry. This isn't about those others we already know about. I often carry a 10mm in a multiple of platforms, depending on my mood. However, it is not my "most often" carried. I always carry .357Sig or .40SW (with or without the 10), where the 10mm's don't fit or conceal. If I had a Derringer-type pistol, I'd hide that somewhere, too. The thought of touching off a healthy dose of Blue Dot from a 1.5" barrel has its own appeal. It would probably scar the mental health and cause recurring nightmares for the attacker,  for life. Recoil? Meh.... WIN is all that's matters, at that time. Cry about your hurt paws at the range.

I carry with a JS IWB made from a single piece kydex but has two retention screws for adjustment.  I carry the G29 or G30 with this holster, securely.  Even bathroom breaks it hangs on to the belt and could be accessed if needed, that way you don't accidently leave it in a stall.  It is easy to slide inside the pants and the molded belt clip slides over the belt where you can tuck the clip under the belt... :D

That is a smart looking set up for my 29. I will be ordering one.
   Thanks for the link. Russ

I don't think JS Holsters is in business anymore.  :(

EAA's compact would be great, unreliable.

I believe the reliability issues are just with the older mags and the compact model mags with the shorter grip/10rd? capacity.  I carry a Witness Polymer full size (14+1 capacity) with a compact 3.6" barrel/slide.  With a polished feedramp and wolff springs, it's very reliable.  Gotta love the DA for real world daily carry too.

Not the smallest, but about the smallest I want to carry is my Dan Wesson Classic in 10mm.  It has a ramped barrel and a bobbed grip.  It is  all steel which is O.K. for me with 10mm.

I have been known to carry my 1066 on occasion. It pulls my pants down though! :)
