Sent my 357 to Sig for the 40 conversion. Took this to the range and fired 50 Federal Aluminum and 50 Federal Brass in 40 with no issues.

Sig did this very well.

Sounds good is it just a conversion?  Can you still swap to the 357Sig as well?

Just a barrel swap, everything else worked. Ran 100 rounds of 40 swapped out the barrel back to 357 and ran 50 rounds with no problems at all.

They fit and supply the barrel for $200 and $50 for shipping.

I purchased a 357sig barrel for my P226 in .40.  I've read that they sometimes need fitting but I dropped it in and it went bang 100x in a row.

hink10mm, Welcome to the forum!  Yep having the added advantage of swapping barrels can make for some interesting scenarios when push comes to shove!

Best regards!  :D

Most 357 Sig leaves a LOT to be desired.  Why run a bottleneck cartridge pushing a puny 125 grain slug when you can run a full-diameter ".40" with a 135 grain, 155 grain, 165 grain, or 180 grain option?  Also, unless you buy true performance ammo that you actually chronograph, chances are the crap you buy for the 357 Sig is barely more potent than the 9mm!
