I grabbed some bullets on midway last night. They have been out of GDs every-time I looked  last night they had all flavors so I grabbed 165 & 180's. I also grabbed 250 135g Federal Expanding FMJ.

I have used this design in my 45 Commander for many years and really like how well it functions expands and preforms! I have a couple boxes thru my 40 shield and it eats them up. (Guard dog line)

I am pretty excited I have needed the GDs for over a year!

What's your favorite load with the gold dots? I have several boxes of 180s I got cheap several years ago

The loaded ammo is also the only carry ammo I buy anymore

There is an outfit  that was selling Gold Dots for $40 per 500 at the Tulsa Gun show last week. 180gr JHP's. They had them in most handgun calibers.

Ooh man that would be great price!!

I use #7, Bluedot & 800x. Also using some longshot, but bought it cause of the name mostly. ;)

Sorry, you will need to work up your own loads.  :o

I have purchased 2500 165gr from Widener's 19.95 per hundred. 1st time I have used them. I am finding it hard keeping COAL consistent on my Dillon 550.
It looks like they are crimped grooved. Anyone else have a similar experience?

11gr blue dot with a mag primer will get that 180gr gold dot to 1400 fps with 5" bbl. Of course it over expands and fails at those speeds.
