Why no Titegroup?

Because it's not really about plinking powders.  It's about powders capable of producing relatively top velocity in 10mm Auto.

If I were to include plinking powders I probably would have had to add over 20 more powders to the list of choices.  But again, that isn't any part of the basis for this poll.

Otherwise, in general, there is certainly nothing wrong with Titegroup.  It is what it is and does what it does.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Dude, that's on my want list. Along with a progressive press, M1A, Benelli, gut my garage. I need to get back to work.

The 224 Boz is on your want list?

Regarding the Benelli, good choice.  As long as I see a need for a shotgun I don't see getting rid of my Benelli!  Period.  Nor is there ANY other shotgun I would prefer to replace it with.

The Boz is as cool idea, but from what I read it destroys guns.  Breech face specifically.  The test guns the original wildcatters used had replaceable breech faces and supposedly they had to swap them out every 100 rounds or so.

I hadn't heard about the breech face issues?  They did make efforts to lighten the slide weights by skeletonized machining.  More of a timing issue of the recoil system.

The light and fast bullets actually did less velocity than the 9x25Dillon.  However the bullet type, size & profile made them achieve the goal of penetrating soft armor...

I've had great results with Longshot and Bluedot. I only load heavier bullets. 800x is next on my list...

The poll has reached a pretty decent sample size now at the point of 34 voters voting a total of 61 times.

So far the biggest surprise to me is less interest in 800-X than I would have guessed.  At the same time I suppose it shouldn't be much of a surprise being that it's the most difficult powder of the bunch to weigh accurately without weighing by hand, no doubt something a fair number of folks simply wouldn't be interested in messing with.

Other than that I see a large swing in personal choice overall, which I think is good toward all of us learning from each other, along with having different interests on an individual basis toward how we choose to tailor 10mm loads to our individual likings.

That's why I shied away from it in the beginning, but my curiosity is still eating at me... So time to compare soon!

Yeah...On a single stage press, I spend too much time reloading already by the time I hand weigh every 10th round.  Not interested in weighing each and every one.  Especially since I can get velocities that are just fine from Blue Dot, Power Pistol, Longshot or AA#9.

Dakotared

I did not vote but.

I have been using w231. 6.1gr gets a 180 gr lead cast going 1100 fps. I do want to try x800 and long shot though.

Maine1

blue dot for the bulk practice loads loaded with plated bullets.

Longshot for the warmer 180 xtp's. metes well.

800X for the real good stuff. Hand weigh every charge under a 200 Gr XTP, for a true 10mm load.

Increasingly I am a big fan of Longshot.  Good velocities, not position or temperature sensitive.  Less finicky than Blue Dot about lower pressure.  Clean.  Meters well.

I still have about 3 lbs of Blue Dot to burn, but unless I stumble into some Vietnam era WC820 for a deal, my next big buy will probably be Longshot.
