Bullet stuck

In the barrel. After years of reloading I had my first squib round. Primer went off and the bullet is stuck in the beginning of the barrel of my revolver, this is my new 10mm.

I've tried a brass cleaning rod down the muzzle and a hammer. Tried a wood dowel and a hammer. No luck.

Any suggestions?

Maybe some penetrating oil or lubricant sprayed down the barrel and let it sit overnight. Then the brass rod or wood dowel again centered in the bore with a muzzle guide. If you have access to a drill press you might be able to drill is out using a small but long drill bit again making sure it is centered in the bore so as not to damage your crown or rifling.

Let it soak with KROIL and then try driving it out the backwards, usually a hardwood dowel will work, but you may need a something stronger.  If you use a steel rod, be sure to take electrical tape and wrap it about every inch or two to keep it center and prevent hard contact to the bore.

3/8" steel rod with some electrical tape to keep if off the bore.

It is gonna take some force to get it moving.  I slug my guns with lead whenever I get a new barrel, so I know that actual, not nominal, groove diameter.  First time or two it was disconcerting to be hitting something that hard I had paid so much for.  I can only imagine a jacketed bullet.

If you have access to a hydraulic shop press it could be used to apply the force in a more uniform, consistent way.

Use the penetrating oil, then stick it in the freezer for 24 to 48 hours. Colder the better.

Then it may fall out or just tap with a hammer.

Piece of 9mm brass inserted from the muzzle end with the primer pocket facing the bullet. Stick whatever size metal rod you can fit into the open end of the 9mm casing from the muzzle end and what it hard.
