But, since you have chosen to frame it the way you have, lets be clear...  The doctrine of original sin, one of the tenants of christianity, says that we were born already having played with fire.  Apparently the omnipotence and charity of god does not extend to creating new people without sin.

So, since god created the being with sin, or allowed us to begin our existence so stained through no choice of our own, yes, god is burning the children.

If God is the source of evil, then why are you religious?

I'm sure you do not believe in the fall of Lucifer, as such wouldn't be rational.  Just what was the serpent in the garden of Eden?  It seems that reptile had some skin in the game!

I don't buy into original sin, or into the whole fire and brimstone thing.  And the faith to which I belong is aligned with my opinions on the matter.

I am most correctly described as an agnostic Mormon.  That is to say I have had no experience of "knowledge " of the existence of God, so I choose to follow the religion of my fathers, in so far as it doesn't contradict observable fact.

I don't buy into anything, because it has already been paid for.

I came into this thread because a God that I consider "loving" is said to be setting folks on fire as some twisted game.

I found that notion offensive, but still each has the right to believe what one decides to believe.

I won't go into what I know and believe, but there was a man that walked the earth that was said to be of God.  He did set an example, and he had scorn for the religious leaders of the day.  He, instead, hung out with the common and the outcast.  There is an example that I fail to measure up to on a daily basis.

I just wanted to say the God that was being portrayed wasn't the God I know.

Old Glock;

Read the article - it says who

Attack the messenger. It is part of the script.

Sounds just like you Pablo. The message is that Israel and CNN are full of crap.

Thank you for projecting your mental illness onto others. It helps me to understand you better. The fact is Iran doesn't want to wipe Israel off the map it is you and Israel that want to wipe Iran off the map, but you are too weak and cowardice to do it yourself, so you and Israel have to agitate others into doing it for you.

Buckeye 50, I know who said it: It was CNN. I stopped believing in playground gossip and agitation in the first grade. I look at the persons who are telling the story, CNN and Israel, and give them credibility according to what they said in the past. That means whatever CNN and Israel say is worth zero in credibility.

Since you guys love Israel so much, you should vote for Bernie Sanders who is jewish.

People, I will say keep things civil amongst yourselves'...I have seen so many of the good forums ruined by the mix of Politics and Religion, as it always will ruffle feathers and put panties in a wad...in other words sometimes it is better to leave things go.  I have my own reasons why I usually do not involve myself in these discussions...

The Founding Fathers warned us about mixing religion and politics.

But it was the GOP that decided to mix it. Look at Cruz and Rubio, both on the knees for Israel. The GOP/FOX/Rush talk about how God would want this that and this.

Its a joke, they all use God's name in vain. And that includes the Jews and Muslims who do it better than Christians.

btw: Google Founding Fathers and Jews and see what comes up.

Republican religious nutjobs love Israel.

They think that they need the Jew to have Israel to protect it until Gods return. Never mind that the Muslims ran the place for centuries.

Now when God returns, these fools actually believe the Jewish people will convert to Christianity. Or guess what happens to those that do not convert?

God will chop their heads off.

This is what the GOP religious nutjob believes, they think God is white a conservative and a Republican.
You clearly know nothing about Christianity.  The nut job meter is pegged.

Sure, that's because Christians are normal people and people are inherently unlike-able, or at least, offensive and easily offended.  People hold Christians to a higher standard.  There's a lot of crony Christianity as well.

I have had more than a few dealings with Indian Hindu's.

I'll take the Christians any day.

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is trumpeting the endorsement of a doomsday preacher who warned Jews must accept Jesus — or face extermination.

His name is Mike Bickle, and he is the founder of the International House of Prayer (yes, IHOP), based in Kansas City, Mo.

Back in 2004, Bickle had this to say about the Jews:

"Let me tell you, these 20 million — less than 20 million Jews worldwide, there's about 5 million in Israel, about another 15 million worldwide, a little bit less than that — those 15 million, God is going to bring them all back. Two-thirds will die in the rage of Satan and in the judgments of God and one-third, every one of the one-third, will be in the land before it's over and they'll be worshipers of Jesus ... The Lord says, 'I'm going to give all 20 million of them the chance. To respond to the fisherman. And I give them grace. And I give them grace ...if they don't respond to grace, I'm going to raise up the hunters ... And the most famous hunter in recent history is a man named Adolf Hitler.'"
